Our compatibility tables are only meant to be exclusive to browsers we are actually testing - all other user agents are treated as 100% working. [Bug 22680] Vector EditWarning breaks page caching. Edits get erased when navigating back and forth
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22680 --- Comment #5 from Roan Kattouw roan.katt...@gmail.com 2010-06-07 11:55:35 UTC --- (In reply to comment #4) For details please see https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Using_Firefox_1.5_caching Pagehide fires before unload, like the beforeunload event, and allows you to stop the page leave. Actually, no, it doesn't allow you to stop anything. I've tried using event.preventDefault() and return false in a pagehide handler in Firefox 3.6, and they don't have any effect. The HTML 5 spec draft that includes the pagehide event also explicitly says it's uncancelable. Also, the documentation you link to says hooking the unload event breaks caching, but we only use the *before*unload event, which isn't mentioned. In fact, page caching seems to work fine for me: on a regular edit page, the content of the textarea is restored after clicking OK in the edit warning and going back. If wikEd has issues with this despite all that, it should probably disable EditWarning. This is not cleanly possible just yet, but will be soon per bug 23807. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

It would certainly be highly desirable to be able to view histories without seeing all the vandalism noise. With regard to recentchanges/watchlist, the relevant feature is patrolled edits. Edits are automatically patrolled by rollback and can be manually patrolled after undo or manual revert (see also bug 14439 - Undo should auto-patrol reverted revisions, like a rollback does). [Bug 23807] Allow setting collapsiblenav state in user JS
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23807 --- Comment #4 from Krinkle krinklem...@gmail.com 2010-06-07 13:36:29 UTC --- Just thought I'd explain this for others to read: The Vector extension / Vector preferences, in contrary to other extensions and preferences, dont have an effect the enable/disable state directly. Instead it echo'es something like the following on the page: code script type=text/javascriptvar wgVectorPreferences = { collapsiblenav: { enable: 1 }, editwarning: { enable: 1 } }; var wgVectorEnabledModules = { collapsiblenav: true, collapsibletabs: true, editwarning: true, footercleanup: false, simplesearch: true };/script /code And somewhere after this the actual extension is loaded via javascript and when it initialises it checks these variables. Because of this it is possible to override the above by putting something in the local user-custom vector.js file because it is loaded in the head-section. However, functions like onloadHook and importScriptURI() aren't excecuted untill after the page has finished loading (and the extention is initialized) - so toggling some variable switches isn't having any effect anymore then. -- Krinkle -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

Sysops should be able to protect pages with a click, or directly delete pages without going to a menu when doing maintenance. Additionally, not having all the buttons lead to a I'm not logged in feeling. Move entry should be visible.
