If people want to add a translatable message, they should use {{int:...}}. Fair enough. I'd rather see this implemented either as full image syntax, or as full wikitext. Supporting only 16px icons with no click-through doesn't actually solve the original problem, which was how to position the FlaggedRevs widget, as well as being useless for most of the things wikis use the icons for. I thought about that. I just didn't get to it. Opening up more of the image syntax (including linking) is a good idea IMO. However, I'm a bit leery of opening up all wikitext. This pfunc is designed for putting little clickable things in the upper right corner of articles, and I'm afraid what opening up the syntax might encourage. I think the main step is storing processed HTML in the ParserOutput array; that way extensions can add whatever they like to it (plus it's a bit wierd that what comes out of the 'parser' is not actually *parsed* :D). [Bug 24064] New: Translate extension should warn translators about common printf formatting errors

This should be fairly easy to detect: make sure we have the same number of params and that we're not missing any explicitly-numbered ones. We could highlight the suspicious parts and prompt the translator to correct it or accept anyway. Since this particular check is applicable only to programs using printf-style formatting from their strings, it could perhaps be applied only when using gettext (which usually is paired with lots of sprintf fun) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

There's basicly two option: * Make the upload-action patrollable (this means that theoratically an upload without a description page is patrollable, it also means that re-uploads are patrollable and that it needs to be integrated into the patrol model as something new (as Rob sugggests above) Another option: * Creation of File-description pages are currently only patrollable if it was not the result of an upload (ie. accidental page creation, or for example a local wikipedia filepage for a Commons-image, such as http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Logpage=File:Penile-Clitoral+Structure.JPGhide_review_log=0hide_patrol_log=0 ) The latter option seems kinda of a bug that it is not the case already since this means a lot of page creations are not patrollable. [Bug 22206] mathequation/math inside [[internal reference link]] not shown in blue.
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22206 Conrad Irwin conrad.ir...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED CC||conrad.ir...@gmail.com Resolution||WONTFIX --- Comment #2 from Conrad Irwin conrad.ir...@gmail.com 2010-06-22 00:50:40 UTC --- This can be done pretty easily with templates, as Bawolff suggests, while it's almost impossible to implement in software. Perhaps a better thing to do would be to create an extension that allows the creation of math-links {{#mathlink:pagename|x+y\over2}}, or somehow allow math link=pagename. That really belongs in extension requests though, and I don't think it's worth it. It will never be even close to correct as link color depends on skin, user-preference, page-existence, page length and page-visitedness; none of which can be known by the image renderer. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 24066] New: Layout enhancements
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24066 Summary: Layout enhancements Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: any Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: DismissableSiteNotice AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: wizard...@ya.ru Created an attachment (id=7490) -- (https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/attachment.cgi?id=7490) A patch correcting the issue I think this mess like td width=80% / should be fixed. The sitenotice becomes moved to the left slightly, and it's not good for the eye. Still must be tested in browsers (I'm not a pro in cross-browser css), but I suppose there are no unconventional styles. Nice for Chrome anyway. Patch included. [Bug 19567] White space at the top of the article
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19567 Ryan Kaldari rkald...@wikimedia.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rkald...@wikimedia.org --- Comment #11 from Ryan Kaldari rkald...@wikimedia.org 2010-06-22 01:24:28 UTC --- The essential problem here is that there is no consistent way of determining if any content is actually being shown by the centralNotice or not. toggleNotice() switches the centralNotice div to have a class of either expanded or collapsed, but collapsed can mean hidden completely or collapsed to a smaller size notice depending on how things are defined in the banner/template itself. In one case, we want a margin-bottom; in the other case, we don't. Is the best solution to always leave the margin-setting to the banner/template builder and remove it from the skin and extension css (as has been done with the local hack above)? The down side of this is that it means that you can't just create a simple centralNotice banner with no custom CSS and expect it to look right on the site. Is there a better solution? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

The site notice is moved to the left because of the next td / with a 'hide' button. This patch fixes the problem leaving only one td / and a floated span / with the 'hide' button. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 23554] Wikipedia doesn't work on the BlackBerry since the migration to Vector
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23554 Tomasz Finc tf...@wikimedia.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |ASSIGNED CC||tf...@wikimedia.org AssignedTo|tpars...@wikimedia.org |tf...@wikimedia.org --- Comment #12 from Tomasz Finc tf...@wikimedia.org 2010-06-22 01:51:39 UTC --- Taking this bug for now. As Erik pointed we've chosen to enable the mobile redirect by default for Blackberry users as dropping vectors file size to the level of what some Blackberrys can handle is out of the scope of the current dev work. So far I've tested both en.m AND en (vector) with the following Blackberry models and seen no issues 8350i 8800 9700 Later this week (Wed) we'll test with the 8120 8900 9550 to confirm if there are any more outstanding issues. The 8120 test will be the key one as that's a fairly old BlackBerry Pearl model. We'll be looking to see if the page size is low enough so that the redirect actually happens. If not were going to push more aggressively toward a server side redirect. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
