In MediaWiki, only the full Title is checked for uniqueness, which includes the extension. A Title in MediaWiki looks like: File:My_Awesome_Movie.png And forms part of the URL. It just so happens that mw.iFrameTransport.js line 94 uses a temporary variable
called json without declaring it, which results in it leaking into the global

Today, this field specification will allow the user to save a value that does
not exist. I propose that the field be defined so that the final value is
limited to existing values. For example,

The user could still type in a non-existing page, since it's a combobox.
Existence is verified after the user hits Save page. If the value does not
exist within the specified set (category=Wiki Page above), an error message
displays and the form stays open. This behavior would match that of a
mandatory string field that is empty on Save page.

Apparently the x28px case is undefined (but useful) behaviour: Parser::makeImage only sets the height parameter, which causes the linker to set the width parameter to the image source width, which will then cause MediaHandler::normaliseParameters to set the width to the width corresponding to height... This needs to be handled in the file/media/parser code in a defined way before we can implement this in the API.
