5. Click on the 'Turn new features off' button.

Actual results:
Following database error displayed in IE7 and IE8 sporadically.  (refer
screenshot)

"A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the
software. The last attempted database query was: 
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "PrefSwitchSurvey::save". Database returned error "1146:
Table 'test2wiki.prefswitch_survey' doesn't exist (10.0.6.44)".

Hi John,

Thanks for this awesome patch! I finally got the chance to look at it today,
and I just checked it in (with some small modifications). It seems like it's
working for me, but please try out the new version of the code when you can
(assuming you use SVN), and feel free to re-open this bug if there are any
problems. Setting this to "fixed".

This could be fixed in 1.18 by using content_navigation instead of content
actions (well perhaps with a helper to strip out tabs marked redundant), as
long as we don't mind the extra markup (ie: It would no longer be one list, it
would be separate lists like in Vector).

Do people really care now that we have vector?

1.18 supports $sk->setRelevantTitle( ... ); now and is used in Special:Movepage
so that the tabs stay the same. SkinTemplate was also tweaked so that the
movepage tab will be selected like the other tabs are.

Currently this kind of thing can be done by using the SkinTemplateNavigation
hook to modify the 'namespaces'. (For backwards compat you can add something to
SkinTemplateTabs too, it's 1.18 when SkinTemplateNavigation starts to apply to
all SkinTemplateSkins)

Only in exchange for a nasty security warning (since, after all, if you sign it
and the user accepts the sig they are giving it run of their machine).  If
thats done, it should only be done for cases(??) where the unsigned jar will
not work.

There is a centrally maintained and signed jar of cortado on theora.org (since
the permission is cached using the central copy has some benefits).

I imagine having a textbox with common suggestions (hardcoded into a mediawiki
ns page) would be better then a pure drop down, as the full list might be long
(look at the inactive tags on 'pedia), but we still want to enable the user to
input any tag they desire.

I understand the request, but I don't know enough about how search engines use
canonical links, to know if having a canonical link pointing to the current
page will have an adverse affect. One would assume it wouldn't, but I don't
really know.

I'm not sure the benefits of fixing the disambiguation issue outweigh the
potential privacy concerns.   Yes, we do want better analytics, but we should
think about what clickdata we want to track and/or publish very carefully. 
E.g., we may consider applying click-tracking to some types of pages, but not
others if that's possible.  

Robla is managing the priority list of analytics related features, so I'm going
to assign this to him.

Any other use cases for this data?

I'd like to request installation of the TeX Gyre fonts [1], which are rather
popular amongst TeX users and contain clones of the prescribed PDF fonts
(Helvetica, Times, Futura, Bookman, Chancery, Palatino, et al.) based on the
URW fonts, but with some slightly less common accented characters. They are
licensed under the comparably permissive GUST font license. [2]

Complicated and likely fringe problem:

This normally works fine but it appears if the page name has an apostrophe in
it, this templating system breaks. 

What appears to be happening is that when {{PAGENAME}} is passed, it becomes
the first parameter ({{{1}}}) here but it's not returning any values:
http://thethirdturn.com/w/index.php?title=Template:SeasonResultForm&action=edit
. Somewhere, the encoding is breaking with the {{PAGENAME}} magic word.

When I directly substitute a name in (the end-around on the John O'Neal, Jr.
page), this works fine, properly returning values that correspond to say the
property named John O'Neal, Jr. Name. It just doesn't like
Property:{{PAGENAME}} Name when {{PAGENAME}} contains an apostrophe.
