I'm suggesting that on pages that are "isCssOrJsPage" or "isCssJsSubpage" (according to their respective methods in the Title-object), improved by showing line numbers at the beginning. [Bug 30682] Link icon inconsistencies when using protocol relative URLs
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30682 --- Comment #3 from Roan Kattouw 2011-09-05 18:05:09 UTC --- Looking at the URL I get it now. [http://foo.com Foo] and [//foo.com Foo] both get the normal external link icon (blue square with an arrow at a 45-degree angle), while [https://foo.com Foo] gets the secure link icon (lock). When viewed over HTTPS, the protocol-relative link and the HTTPS link will have the same target but a different icon. I spoke to Erik Zachte about it in Haifa, and he said that since i know Perl and he doesn't have time to maintain this extension, i can do more or less anything i like with it (Erik, correct me if i'm wrong :) It will be much easier for me to edit this code if it would be updated according to the common Perl coding standards. The diff is very big, but this version doesn't change any functionality. It only tidies the whitespace using the automatic program perltidy ( http://perltidy.sourceforge.net/ ). If you look at https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/w/index.php?title=Albert_Einstein&action=edit , the References section is not the last section on the page, and there's a bunch of invisible (language links, categories) and visible (various navigation boxes) things below the last section even. [Bug 28790] Filter using combo box input type fails when property values contain ampersand '&' characters
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28790 --- Comment #2 from Matt Voysey 2011-09-05 11:11:48 UTC --- Hi Yaron, I tried this on a clean install of MediaWiki 1.17.0 with SemanticBundle 2011-08-24.20110824 (SemanticDrilldown 0.8.3) and the problem still occurred. So I decided to investigate further... After some debugging I traced the problem to a difference in the SDAppliedFilter instance that gets created when using a combo box to enter filter values versus the standard list of values input type - I was seeing, for example, "Singer & Songwriter" in the first case, and "Singer & Songwriter" in the second. Traced the cause of this to SD_AppliedFilter.php line 21, where the value of the _search_ parameter gets htmlspecialchars run on it. Removing this call fixed the problem with ampersands. In SD_AppliedFilter.php line 21 - change: $af->search_term = htmlspecialchars( str_replace( '_', ' ', $search_term ) ); to: $af->search_term = str_replace( '_', ' ', $search_term ); I tested for possible side-effects of the above by creating some other values for property values with nasty <, >, " characters - it seems they already don't work very well with the combo box input (particularly for a value like "Artist" or - just don't appear at all), but other values such as Builder's Merchant (containing apostrophe) work fine with or without the fix above. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 19662] Redirects in search not properly handled
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19662 Svemir Brkic changed: What|Removed |Added Status|ASSIGNED|RESOLVED CC||sve...@deveblog.com Resolution||FIXED --- Comment #2 from Svemir Brkic 2011-09-05 10:45:06 UTC --- This was caused by this line in SpecialSearch::shortDialog prior to MW 1.18 $out .= Html::hidden( "redirs", (int)$this->searchRedirects ) . "\n"; The flow was apparently changed a bit in 1.18, and "redirs" option is skipped when generating hidden fields. It works fine for me in 1.17 if I comment out the offending line. There is no need to render the hidden field when checkbox is there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 29798] Install Narayam on Tamil wiki projects
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29798 --- Comment #21 from Srikanth 2011-09-05 09:33:04 UTC --- Please install the extension on ta.wikibooks.org ta.wikisource.org Note that these 2 are somewhat idle projects and currently dont have any typing solution. So the community is okay with installing in these projects where we would test. (Not many are into translatewiki, so test samples would be better in wiki projects). Install after closing out the trans rules update bug gets resolved. [Bug 30685] Clear cache of javascript tools on login
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30685 --- Comment #3 from Srikanth 2011-09-05 09:28:38 UTC --- (In reply to comment #1) > ?!?!? > > If a tool is ResourceLoader-ified, its cache should update automatically after > five minutes. Thanks, I didnt know this. Problem is awareness of ResourceLoader among smaller wiki admins. I come from Tamil wiki(hardly 3-4 developers who occasionally visit and dont necessarily keep track of mw development.) where there are huge gaps technically. Probably a Wikimailer to all sysops to convert the gadgets / scripts they use to use ResourceLoader might atleast create awareness and they could then take help of local developers to migrate the tools. Even a quarterly update mailer to language wiki sysops might help. I know atleast 10 language wikis which use older HotCat for instance. Tamil wiki itself upgraded only recently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 30680] Enable Collection for KM WP
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30680 --- Comment #6 from Volker Haas 2011-09-05 09:12:27 UTC --- The problem is the false API URL [1] mwlib tries to use. Currently I do not understand why this URL is used at all. If the correct URL (without the wikipedia/km/ in the URL [2]) everything works. Could somebody please check if the configuration of the PDF export for km.wikipedia is wrong.
