Most of them w/o any kind of source, licence and/or permission; putting the project under legal risk. Since 2009 I've been reviewing and deleting hundreds of images, but I am the only one administrator doing so. After two years more than 1,200 images still needs deletion and I'm unable to afford this massive deletion w/o any kind of help. I've been using my sysop-flagged bot http://es.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=Especial:Registrouser=Dfergbot to help me on the deletion process however I need to tag the images first and then using the delete.py script which is a complete waste of time. I'm asking here if you could run for us a maintenance script or something to delete absolutelly all local images (bot-flagged if possible). I'm the only one currently doing this task and I never finish. Most of those files, as I've said above, are or copyright violations or unsourced/unlicensed files. It would be nice if the pagename functions like {{PAGENAME:}} or
{{FULLPAGENAME:}}, when used with a parameter, would return an error that's
parsable for {{#iferror:}}, instead of failing silently, so that we can get an
easy way of determining if a page name is valid and stop using ugly hacks
(http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Template:isValidPageName for example).

It does not seem possible to convert the weight sphinx assigns to a percentage that would have a meaning to a regular user. To understand this percentage, you would need to have a good understanding of how sphinx calculates the weight, and even that is different for different sorting algorithms. Things get even more complicated when custom weights are used, as we do already - we give a much higher weight to the title field. That's fine, but currently when it fails it breaks the page. That's probably bad, since the current expectation is that broken wikitext simply won't render. This caused Arabic UploadWizard to fail entirely because of a typo in the translation (and probably a few other languages as well, but I didn't test). I bet there's something that could be wrapped in a try/catch, and this would be fixed. Niklas and I discussed this, and we do not see any added benefit to the current behaviour. Its just inconsistent behaviour. It doesn't cause any problems other then being unexpected. We do all sorts of special things to make mediawiki ns pages appear to exist even when they don't (in the db), and its inconsistent not to have an empty string message appear to not exist when it has a key in the i18n file and really does exist. In the very worst case, this caused mild confusion when reading the old Extension:Cite docs on Wikipedia that linked to various messages used by Extension:Cite. These docs were outdated, and some of the messages it mentioned were long since removed from the extension (and appeared as red links).
