That keeps the separator on the same line as (at least) the word that precedes it, which is standard. This: Foo | Bar | Baz | Bing | Bam Rather than: Foo | Bar | Baz | Bing | Bam The latter is awkward and strange to me. Then, rather than adding a class to the first category link, you'd output a special class on the last category link and then set its border-right to none. Before the change there was one blank between the vertical line and the cateory
link, and one blank in front of the list. A blank usually has a width of 1/4
quad (em), but since the change the spaces now have 0.7em, the one in front of
the list is 0.4em additional to the blank. This may look OK in Vector, but for
the older skins (expecially monobook) it looks horrible.
Please revert it to

Luxo and I made changes to our Rotatebot and the {{rotate}} template: they are
able to take the EXIF rotation into account. So A and B are kind of fixed from
our side. At least we have a good way to fix wrong EXIF tags now.
Just a minor but quite important question to complete the bot: which EXIF tag
is used by MediaWiki to determine EXIF Orientation now? Is it only
IFD0:Orientation or also other tags? Per fixing of bug 31487 it is not anymore
the wrong IFD1:Orientation tag.

This works on third-party wikis as well as on [[mw:]]. However for tables generated from wikitext, MediaWiki (as usually, and independant from the tablesorter script) strips data-* attributes on wikis that still have wgHtml5 set to false (i.e. 99% of wmf wikis). mediawiki.org is one of few wikis that does have wgHtml5 set to true, and the new data-sort-type attribute functionality works fine there. The old tablesorter script wasn't very flexible in sorting, it did everything with detection and was less strict in cases were there was mixed types of content. This also caused several bugs. The new tablesorter script has fewer bugs in sorting, afiak still allows and supports mixed content and. And as a new feature, it can be forced a certain type with the data-sort-type attribute.
