Loading up 'https://en.m.wikipedia.org' in Safari causes an untrusted Cert warning. The content loads but its missing all styling. It's ok only for few people who are not scared for instance by a page cluttered with hundreds of edits to a particularly active page of the moment, and so on (see e.g. bug 33461 which complains about what's actually a very standard problem of the RC). Actually, the only reason may be that not everyone has JavaScript. Let assume I have page Test page with the following content:
section begin=cap3/Some text here... section end=cap3/
Unimportant blah blah blah...
section begin=cap3/and there...section end=cap3/
And then on other page I enter:
{{#lst:Test page|cap3}}
The MediaWiki outputs:
Some text here... and there...
The only issue I can see is that you need to list every page you want to
transclude from. pages tag could be extended to have 'section' parameter,
which extract text only from specified section on all pages.

My suggestion would have be for something like this on the first page : section begin=cap3 / This is a.. section end=cap3 continue=page2#cap3c (Page1) on the second page (page2) section begin=cap3c /.. sentence broken over a page section end=cap3 / And then when doing the transclude ... pages index=blah from=1 to=1 fromsection=cap3 tosection=cap3 flow=yes / which would combine the two sections wither side of the page break into a single paragraph as requested. It seems to happen when a watchlist entry refers to a protection, but not when
it's an edit or a move.
I can replicate the error on my local wiki (although without the stack trace)
that runs from master. And showing the same protection using list=recentchanges
works fine.

And it is exactly these complex mainpages that are in need for a mobile version, the simple main pages that other wikis have don't need this conversion per se. Since (afaik) all complex-mainpage-having wikis use tranclusion to include the content into the main page sections, it would be fairly trivial to create a mobile version that re-uses the same content in a different, mobile-friendly, main page. A because is converted to #38;
Obviously same wrong behavior with ' and in page names.
Same goes with {{FULLPAGENAME}}.
I disagree. I think #ifeq et al should unescape their args.
(I suppose that would make == amp; but I don't entirely think that is a bad
thing).
