Eww, an extension that screen scrapes. However, at some point (I'm not sure when) we changed to doing edit links in a post process step, so ParserAfterTidy sees things like "f" instead (See ParserOutput::replaceEditSectionLinksCallback for details) - Anyhow, the extension should be using the 'DoEditSectionLink' hook (as opposed to weird regex black magic). >But I would expect the whole postprocessed page from the >ParserAfterTidy-Hook like it did in 1.16. The parser is used to parse many things, not just the page. That hook will be called several times, your die would only catch the first. p.s. I'm unsure if this bug is valid. ParserAfterTidy does give right value, although i suppose you're right in that most people expect full html, no pseudo-xml markers. otoh, I somewhat doubt we're changing that. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. The other visual indications using the black color, font-weight and un-clickability of the link already are clear enough (especially in MediaWiki context since this principle is used in core as well - *without* the *asterisks* around *it*). The asterisks only add more clutter to the screen and are inconsistent with what the user is trained in MediaWiki core. And they also take up precious space in the (already cluttered) language navigation bar. Which has a lot of stuff into it, is clunky and big and should probably get a redesign in general at some point, but for now I'd say the asterisks are low ganging fruit to fix for the user. Bug 34113 made this configurable with css, but I have no intension of overriding this through css on all wikis using Translate. You might not have realized it, but looking into it, it seems your script was actually creating invalid HTML for the "math/tex" script element. The content is not HTML escaped. The Wikipedia developers (in this case, brion and 2 volunteer patch contributors (one of them me)) are accustomed to writing certain things in certain ways. Apparently one of the developers added escaping to the HTML element creation, because that's what he's used to doing. That has brought forward that actually all the time the script element was not properly created and read out again. Now it's written correctly, but of course reading has broken, which is why this ticket was filed. Stuff like that happens, it's just part of the development cycle. >From en.wikipedia with Nageh MathJax script: \displaystyle u'' + p(x)u' + q(x)u=f(x),\quad x>a Should be: \displaystyle u'' + p(x)u' + q(x)u=f(x),\quad x>a -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug.
