In fact an error appears in any expression that contains parentheses () before
E operator: {{#expr:(1)E5}}. It can be fixed by inserting multiplication:

I think merged (to another bug report) describes better what it means; it's
the terminology used by Google Code (which IMHO is generally horrible but
sometimes has a point).
Extremely low priority proposal, almost surely upstream and/or WONTFIX, which I
file just to track the following circular discussion we had on #wikimedia-tech
and which it would help to avoid in the future. ;-)

I'm not sure if mysql can use both indexes to perform the query or not, but if not then both kind of filtering should be mutually exclusive (or allowed only in Miser Mode). We recently had an issue where a legit established OTRS user was attempting to edit the wiki, but was doing so through a globally blocked IP and therefore could not. Looked at the list of all such current wikis and saw no obvious issues. The one caveat is that this would also (I think?) effect whether or not blocked IPs could trigger password reset emails. Thank you for that.
Recently I found that one can add new options (''keys''). This is very useful
for Community scripts. So I hope this was intentional behaviour and this bug is
about clarifying that.
What in particular, I'd like to know is:
* Will it be supported in future?
* Which max. size (i.e. how many bytes) can the pref have?
* How many prefs can be added?
* Is it possible to remove one particular pref without having to reset all?
Again, it would be really useful if I could get started using this feature.
Currently I have to publicly store user prefs for my scripts using (
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Gadget-SettingsManager.js ) in
their common or skin.js. Having a private place to store them would be great,
especially because one can retrieve them with both, the API and they are by
default in mw.user.options – JavaScript RL module.
