Looks like I just ran into this in my first attempt to use the upload wizard.
Tried uploading three files. The UW complains about three errors, but doesn't
show me what it thinks was wrong. I don't see anything amiss.
(Note: I copied the info from the first file to the other two via the Copy
information to all uploads below ... function.)
I'll now have to re-do these three uploads through the normal upload page.
This renders the upload wizard completely useless to me. (If you think that was
too harsh, please consider that I'm an experienced uploader, not some newbie,
and a developer. Yet I'm completely baffled and have no idea what I should do.
Granted, I may be a newbie in UW usage... but I thought UW should make
uploading easier and be intuitive for newbies?)
BTW, I also have found no way to upload the files as own work, but released
under their real license {{PD-ineligible}}. Which means I would have had to
re-edit all three file description pages after the upload. That's not
user-friendly.

Presumably the UW figures that out by itself? At the moment it is not possible to create easily migratable parser functions,
they all need a copy and paste, and an amendment for the local server. It
would be great if there was able to be added to the magic words and parser
functions that can used and applied to the api. For example
* {{localurl:page name|query_string}} - {{localurl:MediaWiki|printable=yes}}
→ /w/index.php?title=MediaWikiprintable=yes
Here I am thinking {{localapi}} - /w/api.php?...
* {{fullurl:interwiki:remote page name|query_string}}
Here I am thinking {{fullapi:+++}} so we can more easily build lists of xwiki
api calls.
My reason is that sometimes there are queries that I want to share to others,
and and having it being local to the server running it without changing
components would be useful. Plus to build a page to run a query on a series of
wikis (eg. show me the count of admins and bureaucrats) and building those with
shortcuts and without parser functionality is a nightmare.

There are probably better and more expected sources like:
- read the browser accept language setting
- get the browser language
The Babel tower defining the language would be an obscure feature, and not
intuitive at all: most users willing to set language would first try the
preferences pages.
This would be interesting to offer proper localization to people not familiar
with our preferences, but I'm doubtful we'll have a lot of people able to write
{{#babel:de|en-2|ru-1}} in their user page without knowing the preference.
[Moving to Babel extension, as it's more logical the function is implemented
there. Adding wikidata keyword for better tracking. ]
