It's not taking much time, it's normal for configuration requests to wait for
some weeks. Please be patient, your request is in the queue.

[Bug 45186] Adding mic language to Commons descriptions and UploadWizard dropdown

translatewiki:Special:LanguageStats/mic: core most used is 23 % completed
-> the language won't be enabled on MediaWiki (yet).
Nischay, where does the UploadWizard fetch the list of languages?
Amqui, m:WM:LS works with any code real or not (I think) and
commons:Template:Mic exists, so adding descriptions manually in the
language works, doesn't it?

I really think this is something that should be done inside the extension

Since Translatewiki doesn’t appear to provide a way to localize Scribunto’s
namespaces into Vietnamese, please add the following code to
Scribunto.namespaces.php:

$namespaceNames['vi'] = array(
828 => 'Mô_đun',
829 => 'Thảo_luận_Mô_đun',
);

(I didn’t see a way to do it, but it’d be nice if “Mô-đun” and “Môđun” and
their talk counterparts “Thảo_luận_Mô-đun” and “Thảo_luận_Môđun” could also be
added as aliases too.)

AddPropertyObjectValue throws MySQL errors (column not found blob etc.) while
using custom PHP-driven properties in SMW 1.8.x. This doesn't happen in 1.7.x.
but makes an SMW-update system critical, because it crashes a complete Wiki
when someone tries to edit. I tested this behavior with SMW 1.7.1, 1.8.2, 1.8.3

there was never consensus for disallowing links to locked wikis, so closing as
invalid. If there ever is consensus, there are probably a few more sites that
need to be removed from the sitemap.

I've started using the drop-down boxes which contain default edit summaries.
However, I don't believe the behavior of the drop-downs is intuitive. When
selecting one of the summaries from the drop-down, this should REPLACE what is
currently in the edit summary field, not APPEND to it.

Use protocol-relative URL(*1) to make links to the translation page
(Special:Translate).

For example(*2), the link shows only for http protocol as following:

This should be written using protocol-relative URL as following:

I mean that "http" should be removed from the links for https users.

ve.dm.Transaction.newFromWrap() currently doesn't check that the transaction it
generates will be valid. That is, it will ensure that things are unwrapped
correctly, but it doesn't check that the result doesn't end up violating
parent/child restrictions.

It's not entirely clear to me whether we should try to rectify that or throw an
exception, but either of those is better than generating a transaction that,
when applied, will make the document nonconformant.

The global rename patch (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/39171/) will help
this, since we account for this race condition.

In the meantime, the workaround is to either delete or lock the centralauth
account before doing the rename, so the user can't login with the old name and
have the account autocreated.

[Bug 45180] New: Wrong data in factbox after content injection

Bug ID: 45180
 Summary: Wrong data in factbox after content injection

In a MediaWiki ArticleSave-Hook I add semantic properties and values.

For example:

This works and after a "page save" the factbox shows the new entry.

But if I logout and relogin the factbox shows two values, the value coming from
the right anotation (still there if I view the source code on that page) and a
new value for property "ABC Document Edited By", the currently logedin user.

This value was never anotated and is comming from nowhere!

--- Comment #1 from Diederik van Liere ---
Hey Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out! Yes you are right, there are a couple of 1000's titles
that have spaces in the titles and this indeed happened after the tab
introduction but in an unexpected way.

Prior to the tab introduction, the title of the page would be truncated
(because we used space as a delimiter) and so incorrect / incomplete titles
would show up in the dumps data. Now, with the introduction of the space we
really surfaced this bug.

The space is introduced because under very rare conditions, the Nginx server
does not encode the space as %20; so far I have only see this happening if the
request comes from Googlebot, and the server response is 301 (Moved
Permanently).

We tried to replicate the conditions so we could fix our Nginx server
configuration but we have not yet been able to do so. We could add a function
in webstatscollector (the software that generates the data) to replace those
spaces with %20 but I am worried that this will introduce performance
regressions.

My plan is:
1) We will test webstatscollector with a replace function, if this all works,
great! problem solved.
2) If the replace function introduces a performance regression then I will mark
this bug as WONTFIX.

Rest assured, it affects only a really really small set of articles and those
views are not real views in the first place as they come from Googlebot.

Beginning Feb. 1. space characters began appearing in *some* article titles in
the pagecount data at http://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/pagecounts-raw/.

This file is space delimited, so this is breaking some parsing schemes. I
understand that some of the internal logs were changing to a tab-delimited
format, but this was not supposed to effect the pagecount stuff:

The wiki was recently created and pages imported from Incubator.
Normally, the imported edits show up on Special:Contributions for the
respective users, e.g. I made one edit to a page on Incubator which was
imported, and it shows up:
https://sa.wikiquote.org/w/index.php?title=%E0%A4%B5%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%B6%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%B7%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%8D:%E0%A4%AF%E0%A5%8B%E0%A4%97%E0%A4%A6%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%8D/MF-Warburg&dir=prev&target=MF-Warburg&limit=2

At least the following users are affected (i.e. they made numerous edits on
Incubator, have created an account on sa.q, and the edits show up in page
histories, but not on Special:Contributions):
Shubha
Bhaskar Bhatt Joshi
SumanaKoundinya

SMW 1.8.x

Hello,

semantic properties do not show up on factbox if programatically generated via
PHP.

Someone allready commented this with the advice to invalidate the cache without
explaining how.

I guess I do this and it seems to be a real bug not a cache problem.

Here comes the code...every tip/hint/fix is very welcome!

[...]
SMWDIProperty::registerProperty( '___EXIFSOFTWARE', '_str','MyNewProp');
SMWDIProperty::registerPropertyAlias( '___EXIFSOFTWARE', 'MyNewProp' ) [...]

public function UpdateDataBefore($store, $data ){
global $wgUser,$wgEnableParserCache,$wgParser;
$wgParser->disableCache();
$wgEnableParserCache = false;

$str = "EinTestString";
$property = new SMWDIProperty( '___EXIFSOFTWARE' );
$dataItem = new SMWDIString( $str );
$data->addPropertyObjectValue($property, $dataItem);

[...]

PS:

1. The Properties show up on Special:Browse but not on the factbox!
Also the PHP-generated properties are automatically declared as special
properties...I don't know why. Could someone explain?

2. If someone could provide some code snipped too, to demonstrate how to
manipulate -->$data<-- on the fly in an UpdateDataBefore-handler this would be
very very nice and open some doors to new innovations. This doc here is not
enough:

Nikkerabit: Do you remember what the problem was? (Screenshots welcome.)

[Bug 45156] Guided Tour does not work at test2

2013-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45156

--- Comment #3 from Matthew Flaschen ---
This was a deployment issue.

GuidedTour uses a submodule, and when the 1.21wmf10 branch was cut, they did
not clone with --recursive.

I fixed it (at least for this branch) earlier by doing a submodule update
--init and a sync-dir.

I think this is actually an issue with the script that cuts the branches, which
I'm going to follow up on (I've also made Ryan Faulkner, one of the git-deploy
people, aware of this).

Indeed, that's the reason why. They sometimes fail, and sometimes work.

It appears to be a race-condition and/or absent dependency that should be fixed
or lazy-loaded or something else to make sure one has the other.

Slight different:

#fff / #eee

That way it matches our other white-alternating styles (label columns of info
block, header of comment thread etc.)

[Bug 45174] New: Patroled edits are displayed on Recent Changes even if the URL parameter "hidepatrolled" is set to "1"

2013-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45174

 Web browser: ---
Bug ID: 45174
 Summary: Patroled edits are displayed on Recent Changes even if
the URL parameter "hidepatrolled" is set to "1"
 Product: MediaWiki
 Version: unspecified
 Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
 Severity: normal
 Priority: Unprioritized
Component: Recent changes
 Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
 Reporter: mybugs.m...@gmail.com
CC: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
Classification: Unclassified
 Mobile Platform: ---

Created attachment 11808
 --> https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/attachment.cgi?id=11808&action=edit
RC bug

Compare the list of changes displayed in the following cases:
https://pt.wikibooks.org/wiki/special:RecentChanges?hidepatrolled=0&uselang=en
https://pt.wikibooks.org/wiki/special:RecentChanges?hidepatrolled=1&uselang=en

(see the screenshot)

Why there are unpatrolled edits in **both** cases?

I think "hidepatrolled=0" should display more edits, not less, because it is
supposed *not* to hide patrolled edits

These are my preferences related to recent changes, if that helps:
* Days to show in recent changes: 7
* Number of edits to show by default: 50
* [x] Group changes by page in recent changes and watchlist (requires
JavaScript)
* [ ] Hide minor edits in recent changes
* [x] Hide patrolled edits in recent changes
* [x] Hide patrolled pages from new page list

[Bug 43927] amarok.kde.org listed twice

2013-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43927

Daniel Zahn changed:

 What|Removed |Added

Status|NEW |RESOLVED
Resolution|--- |FIXED

--- Comment #2 from Daniel Zahn ---
mediawikis, id 3989 and 4315. in wmf labs. deleted 4315 changed statsurl and
method for 3989.

on s23, just 3989, changed statsurl to API and method to 8

found no other with statsurl like %kde% in either.

[Bug 44992] IME icon overlaps the edit summary field

2013-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44992

--- Comment #2 from Nemo ---
Note: this was making editing impossible for me on Meta so I've just disabled
IME completely there and will do so on all other wikis, so I'm no longer
testing it.

[Bug 30246] MediaWiki:Lqt-sign-not-necessary renders "" tags verbatim

2013-02-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30246

--- Comment #4 from Matthew Flaschen ---
I think this workaround will only work temporarily due to
https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/49350/ .

is being treated as an HTML tag, then the text is being extracted.

That will break when support for arbitrary HTML is removed again. The right
way to fix this is to add support to jqueryMsg. I've added bug 45173
for this.
