This also happens on Wikidata and is very annoying.

How to reproduce:
# Take a fully translated text
# Edit something in the original
# Mark the original for translation and check "Do not invalidate translations"
# The translations are ''not'' invalidated here
# But edit something else in the original
# Mark the original for translation again
# Now the translation units from the first edit will invalidated.

MediaWiki (and zhwiki) doesn't specify font per language. Instead it sets
lang="" attribute and the exact font used is up to your browser.

Hi Tomasz, thanks for your reply.

I should say I got misunderstanding about the related settings of Chinese
Wikipedia. [1] Another technique should be used to display the namespace in
Chinese (either traditional or simplified) - I shall find it out. Therefore, I
abort the request of 'setting Chinese as default
display for both namespaces', but please set those Chinese names of Wikijunior
as aliases. Thank you.

I'm use simplified Chinese and set Microsoft YaHei (微软雅黑) as my default font in
Firefox browser. This font supports traditional Chinese, but when I read
zh-wikipedia under traditional Chinese mode, my browser is always forced to
display characters in a specific font which sometimes make my eyes
uncomfortable. So I think Wikipedia should cancel this perference and allow
users to set fonts they want.

From what I can tell, the Module and Module talk namespaces were added to
Wikimedia wikis without namespaceDupes.php being run. I'd recommend running
that script across all Wikimedia wikis.

The page 'Module:mathRoman.lua' (And also a talk page with the same name) is
broken (blue link to it on "Special:AllPages/Module" but it doesn't exist when
you click the link) because it was created before the Scribunto extension was
installed on that wiki - it has page_namespace=0 but this should be 828. The
namespaceDupes.php maintenance script should fix this.

The links I'm talking about are, for example:

In the protection log, "(hist | change)" at the end of each entry.
In the deletion log, "(view/restore)" at the end of each entry.

For this enhancement, I'm proposing that these types of links should appear at
the end of log entries on the Recent changes page (like they do on the actual
log pages). This will make Recent changes log entries more-consistent with the
log page entries, and it will save a click from Recent changes when one wants
to use these links.

It seems that the original author hasn't touched this extension in years, but
other regular contributors have. 

Apparently only the DragonBall Encyclopedia uses it:

I've provided an iterator solution, but it has the same limitations as
the prefixindex special page:

I think an equivalent to the MediaWiki API's list=allpages&apprefix=

It was by a Steward so long ago about a few weeks before this bug entry was
filed. These were edits not properly attributed or moved due to software issues
after the rename from back then. I want my edits to be attributed to me on my
current account. Attitude problem of Nemo aside (seriously) what exactly is

Hi Jason — thanks for the detailed information and apologies for the delay!

Would you mind explaining what do you mean by 'setting Chinese as default
display for both namespaces'? As far as I see, the default display for all
namespaces on your project is currently English, with traditional Chinese and
simplified Chinese being set as aliases[1].

I'm asking this for three reasons: (1) you can only have one name as the
default display (so you'd need to choose between traditional and simplified
Chinese here), (2) this would be something revolutionary for your wiki (see
above), and (3) I cannot find any mention of the new namespaces having a
Chinese name in the linked discussions. 

As far as I see, you have two pages in the pseudo-namespace "Subject:" and
around 190 in the pseudo-namespace "Wikijunior:"[3]; it would be helpful if you
moved the "Subject:" pages to different names just temporarily, and we'll run
the NamespaceDupes.php script[4] to take care of the "Wikijunior:" pages.

I am CC'ing Sam who's the person resposible for taking care of such bugs.

Honestly, selected tab IS style. Partially functional style like some other
things. But style nonetheless. It is not something that has to be present for
things to work.

And every browser we support supports css. Sorry but ancient text browsers are
not browsers we support.

Though there might be some aria attributes we may want to apply.

If we want to do this, it should likely be part of the functionality of
BaseTemplate::makeListItem() (to automagically happen in all skins). But to be
honest, I'm really not sure if it's a good idea in general.

Confirming, still happens on Opera 12.15 today.

This is caused by insufficient bottom padding on the tabs (0.1em on normal
ones, and for some reason 0.2em on active ones, which is apparently enough) -
apparently Opera has slightly different defaults or something.

I'll submit a patch to raise it to something ridiculous like 1em, just in case.
This shouldn't cause any issues, as the z-indices are set reasonably on all
involved elements.

Looks like this is the same bug from not so long ago - now the extension will
display the page text when it cannot construct the Title from the page id... I
guess that for some reason the page id is not set properly, no idea why though.

One easy way to "fix" this is simply linking using the page title text, that
might end up being wrong if stuff gets moved around though (not sure this is
the case, forgot what MW does with ids on move and delete)

The link was in the ticket the whole time. See the URL field.

However it seems that his is now fixed (as in, the mobile page includes an
empty span now, instead of an escaped (literal) span for both regular and beta
version of the mobile website)

The issue of a difference between api and html is still there, but i'll file a
separate ticket for it.

Overview:
I was editing several items and noticed that if I changed a description and a
property on an item, I would frequently get an edit conflict.

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Find an item that has both a description and some properties set on it. The
property that was causing the problem for me was "Connecting Line".
(2) Change the description to something different.
(3) Try changing the property to a new value. You will get an error message:
There is an edit conflict. Please reload and save again.
Details>Edit conflict.

Actual Results:
Edit Conflict

Expected Results:
As my version is the latest, it should save the change.

Additional information:
(1) There is no actual edit conflict. It occurred more than once and there was
no other edits.
(2) Refreshing the page after editing the description would fix the problem.
(3) Add a new description (versus changing it) did not generate the error
(4) Adding a new property (instead of changing an existing one) also did not
generate the error.
(5) Changing the items in the reverse order do not cause the problem.

In this mode without the VE, the wikitext edit tab doesn't go to the oldid, it
goes to the curid page; I think we're going to have to think about how to let
users get the VE from here.

This is Parsoid behaviour - it's overly-keen to add s (which doesn't

'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'dataElement.attributes.title')"
