The conversion labels (i.e. { } ) for wikis like zhwiki is shown when editing
using the VisualEditor.
Those labels should be hidden, or otherwise newbies using the editor will break
them easily.

I am sure that MediaWiki is doing a better job of this than vipsthumbnail. The sharpening parameters that we use (radius and threshold) are carefully chosen, and changing them has caused complaints in the past (bug 24857). So I was keen to have a scaling system that reproduced the current results as nearly as possible. The logon name also escapes being obscured; it is directly above it. Btw, I did not intend to create an account here with my email-address as a name! How did that happen? The real name box was marked "optional". Could someone please correct this, as it was not my idea to out myself, but report a problem. Thanks. The main difference is, that /bin/sh ulimit cannot set multiple resource limits at once. Setting 3 limits require 3x ulimit. That's all. If you do 3x ulimit instead of one long ulimit command, this should work with (any?) POSIX-/bin/sh so you might replace /bin/bash with /bin/sh generally. FreeBSD doesn't implement cgroups, so using "good old ulimit" is better than nothing here. Your new limit.sh might "detect" this inability of cgroups and may fall back to "traditional ulimits" (like ulimit4.sh in my patch). This would be great. I cannot send you patches for your new code yet because I have no "unstable" mediawiki installed anywhere, I just cannot fix such things.
