I just saw that my patched LanguageSl::convertGrammar() is same as
Language::convertGrammar(), so file languages/classes/LanguageSl.php can be

about the above

The beta cluster application servers are using a list of memcached box.
Production uses a local memcached proxy on each of the application server known
as twemproxy.


twemproxy is already installed on beta instances but we have to figure out its

There is an HTML comment that begins after a heading.

This page is rendered correctly, but in the VE the heading is displayed
incorrectly and there is a line break character after it.

This is a rather esoteric case, but such comments do happen. They are used in
GSoC templates among other things; for an example see the "Deliverables"

Short answer: It's the user here.

Long answer: That's a bit of a hard question. A permissions error for the OAuth
consumer would begin with "mwoauth-". The "permissiondenied" error is given
when the user lacks the necessary rights.

But it could be that the OAuth consumer didn't ask for the right grants, so the
user-via-consumer wouldn't have the rights that the user would have when making
the same query directly. That *could* be considered that the permissions were
denied for the consumer.

In this particular case, though, the consumer does have the necessary grant
("Upload, replace, and move files"). It's just that some users lack the
necessary right and OAuth never adds rights the user doesn't have normally, it
just removes them when not granted.

Uploading from a url via the API requires the "upload_by_url" user right.
[[commons:User:Magnus Manske]] has this right, while
[[commons:User:Testuser-MM]] does not.

According to [[commons:Special:ListGroupRights]], the following groups have
this right: sysop, Image-reviewer, gwtoolset.

Your tool can use meta=userinfo&uiprop=rights to check if the user has the
necessary right.


I'm going to close this as "INVALID" because there's no MediaWiki core or OAuth
extension bug here, just a misunderstanding of the user rights required. But
feel free to reply if you need further clarification.

I'm not actively working on it.  The easy fix is to not have a project called
'nagios' :)

So far no one has claimed ownership of the 'nagios' project, which means it

I found wikimetrics --mode queue running in the background as a ghost queue. 
This might have been an artifact of a bad deployment or a more systemic issue
with upstart not being able to kill that process.  I killed them manually but I
needed -9.  I was able to run through the scenarios that were reported failing
in this bug without trouble after that.  Please re-test.  And thank you for the
bug report!

I'm setting up MW 1.22 + VE for a client.   To get a usable VE, I had find a
working date (from the time REL1_22 was created on core branch) and use that
code.

It would be good to have this branched so that there is a consistent bit of
code to use.

The font is defined in the MediaWiki scripts of your wiki. You can ask the
sysops to change it; no idea what fonts are available by the same means.

I was running an edit report for an existing cohort for a monthly breakdown of
user stats. The report has been pending for about 12 hours. I tried a new
report this morning and it is still pending as well.

Report is "Edits - WEP_JO_ALL_01sept13"

Old reports can be downloaded, but new reports are not being generated it
seems.

I also tested the cohorts by uploading a new version. All usernames were
declared invalid even though I've uploaded a duplicate cohort and they are in
fact all valid. It gives the error:

"reason_invalid": "invalid project: arwiki"

Something is up with cohorts and reports -- neither are working!

The nature of the problem is known (the instance attempts to mount /home and
/data/project before the NFS server has updated its ACLs for it, then caches
the negative result for some time), but a proper fix hasn't been found yet.

I have some ideas on how to prevent this from happening that I will be trying
today.

In the meantime, doing a reboot at least 10 minutes after the issue occurs then
waiting at least another 20 minutes seem to be sufficient to let the ACL time
out.

Steps to reproduce:
0. Find a message via Special:SearchTranslations that its next message is not
for translation (but itself is enabled for translaton)
1. Try make a change on that message
2. It won't work

Sometimes the edit translation link just work as a hyperlink and would open the
related message page. On that case you can middle click on the edit translation
or open the previous editable message.

It reproduces on
https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:SearchTranslations?query=%D9%84%D8%B7%D9%81%D8%A7&language=fa
(click on third message edit, skip to next, edit the message, try to save the
message, it won't work currently because next message is disabled for editing)
but don't expect this link would work after a while because perhaps we would
edit the messages listed after a while.
