No idea why it didn;t affect Firefox, but in any case it is solved and I'm sorry for bothering you guys, as it looked exactly the same as the above problem but was not. I'm posting this in case anyone else comes along and is tearing hair out over the same thing - check your clock. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26706 --- Comment #31 from tvoz 2011-05-02 16:42:06 UTC --- There is no problem with gmail itself on any browser - the problem is with the Gmail Notifier for Windows (gives a popup when a new msg arrives even if you're not logged on) - instead of accessing my inbox, it gives an error message saying the server's certificate is invalid, As for Facebook, I can log on manually from all three browsers, but on Chrome and IE if I check the box "Keep me logged in", it does not let me log on, but if I uncheck that box, it keeps me logged in. I'm getting this on Firefox 3.6.13, Opera 10.1.63, Konqueror (running on KDE 4.4.5) and a clean install of Chromium with no cache.
