Foo[SPACE MISSING HERE](会話 | 投稿記録) が 999.99.99.99[SPACE MISSING HERE](会話) を1週間ブロックしました。 Please note that you might see the second blank in this case, but this is just because that [[MediaWiki:Blocklogentry/ja]] has been modified to enforce blank at the beginning of the message. This blank is not originally necessary if there are blanks around (会話 | 投稿記録). Indeed, [[MediaWiki:Blocklogentry/en]] does not start with blank. You can also see examples on many other places such as watchlist, recent changes, page history, etc on the Japanese Wikipedia (or using setland=ja on url). Anyway, Siebrand, spaces around the pipe are necessary and should not be removed.
