Given we know which labels and descriptions are used on a placeholder (assuming the Lua code hasn't been altered to much), we can pre-load these in one step before actually rendering the placeholder.

The problem

Multi-Content-Revisions (MCR) (T107595) have been proposed as a way to move structured information and meta-data out of wikitext, and to better integrate information currently stored on subpages or similar. During the RFC discussion, it however became clear that the intended use cases are not sufficiently defined and documented.

Expected outcome

A set of use cases for MCR, with priorities and requirements for each use case.
Some sort of commitment by WMF to work on MCR, or at least support the development.
Alternatively, we may discover that MCR does not fit the intended use cases well enough after all, and needs to be re-considered.

Current status of the discussion

The MCR proposal is extensively documented and there has been quite a bit of discussion about it since the last DevSummit. Once of the most problematic points in the discussion has been the fact that we have many potential use cases, but we do not have much detail on these.

This is great for most uses, but means that, for example, queries like "coordinates of places in Antarctica, on a map" look very strange - as well as the expected distortions from Mercator, everything between 85S and 90S is smushed onto a single line at the bottom of the image - http://tinyurl.com/hhwtftg

new types of charts:* line chart, bar chart, scatter chart and area chart!

This is already deployed on the Query Service 
and you can try it directly by using one of the example queries : line chart

bar chart
,
scatter chart
,
area chart
.
Some of these views are animated, and you can play with it by moving the
cursor over the chart, clicking on the legend labels to filter...

Works for me. This happens when all _javascript_ has not loaded yet.
