TASK DESCRIPTIONProblem: Statements on Lexeme pages are identified with the HTML attribute id, whose values are the corresponding property IDs. This can lead to multiple HTML elements with the same id, since the same property can be used on the Lexeme level, in each Form and also Sense. However, the id value must be unique within the HTML document. It also causes issues when you use it as a link fragment to link to a specific statement group. This still needs to be fixed for Senses now. Old Example for Forms: In L2, both L2-F1 and L2-F3 have a statement with , which makes the HTML document invalid and the URL https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Lexeme:L2#P898 ambiguous. At least one place where we need to get the entity ID from the statement ID is WikibaseQualityConstraints: in the wbcheckconstraints API, you can ask for all constraint violations of a statement, but for that we still need to load the full entity to which that statement belongs. Looking at the request URLs this seems to be users requesting invalid language codes, and the code makes it all the way into the cache key, that is then invalid as it contains bad chars. Smalyshev added a comment. This is tricky since Lexeme and Item use different search queries (due to the fact that they have different structure). Alternatives are: Enable common search for Lexeme+Item, which would have poor relevancy since it would not used specialized queries. Proper search would only happen if you remove either Lexeme or Item/Property from namespaces. Develop code to search more than one query in parallel and display results together. Have some UI that would make it easier to do Lexeme search (e.g., default to Lexeme when current page is in Lexeme namespace) Other?
