That is nearing an end soon, but we have a lot to catch up on. 3. There is a legitimate question on the gerrit change regarding the length of time these additional tests take to complete and how that will slow down test runs for all developers. It is an open question on how long we should aim to have our unit tests take and how we should keep the time down even when adding new functionality (eg: adding new extensions to the gate). I would appreciate input on this from others if there is any. Hey all, I've done a little digging into the SPARQL query logs and posted my findings in two blog posts, here <http://sulab.org/2018/08/wikidata-sparql-query-log-analysis/> and here <http://sulab.org/2018/08/wikidata-sparql-query-log-item-analysis/>. I've looked mainly at item count, property count, and property co-occurrence, stratified by organic/robotic and by user-agent. Because the cause was so unknown at the time, we stared at lots of recently-deployed things, and probably uncovered hints at minor issues in various services incidentally, but none of them may have been causative. All we know for sure is that switching Varnish's default behavior from streaming to store-and-forward of certain applayer responses (which was our normal mode over a year ago) broke things, probably because some services are violating assumptions we hold. Unfortunately proper investigation of this will stall for quite a while on our end, but we'll probably eventually come back with some analysis on that later and push for some fixups in various services so that we can move forward on that path again. The RB timeouts mentioned earlier seem a more-likely candidate for what we'll eventually uncover than ORES at this point. T173941: Add all wikidata build libraries to mediawiki-vendor repo Today and a bit of yesterday @Legoktm, @Ladsgroup and I started adding entries to mediawiki-vendor for all remaining wikibase composer libraries. All of these should be merged by the end of the day. The #wikidata development team now needs to keep the version in mediawiki-vendor up to date with what they need in production and we really need to make sure we don't break anything here. I have filed T179663 to investigate what the current state is and see if we need to add any additional checks. @greg as a result of the 2 paragraphs above the train next week will have all of this JS code moving around, as well as duplicate libraries for wikibase (only a short term thing). Duplicate libraries should not cause any issues and is already the case with libraries such as assert which is in mediawiki-vendor and also the wikidata build. ping @demon :) I plan on tackling T176948 and T177060 next week ahead of taking extensions out of the build along with any other config cleanups that we may need. Then we will start the process of loading extensions from outside the build. All extensions have already been added to the extension lists for some time now, I'll come up with some chain of config patches to get us to the end at the start of next week. @greg I am guessing we will want to schedule our own 'special' deploy slots for this rather that using SWAT?
