Thank you; You do for the best as it is real I had a carrrier in nuclear
physics before to be a particle physicist. But I indeed enjoy my particle
physics status in both ALEPH and CMS.

2023-08-02 Thread jerven Bolleman

Dear Marie,

I have changed the PhD (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q752297) into
doctorate in France (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3033550). With the
added qualifier "Field of work" being Particle physics. The statement
with qualifier should roughly be read as "having attained the degree of
doctorate in the french education system, working in the particle
physics domain".

I did not change the label from "French physicist" to "particle
physicist". In an earlier mail it was mentioned that would be the single
instance of such a description. Changing this should be done
consistently. Please give us some (probably quite a long) time to study
how to best structure such information and see if we can adapt this
generally. This discussion/study will be on the relevant wikidata pages
and not on this mailing list.

I would like to mention that the Particle part is not forgotten, it was
recorded under occupation.

I hope that you may accept this delay and that we as a community try
hard to make sure the record reflects reality as exactly as possible.
Noting that this is limited by our references. Which for some of these

kind of details are hard to find online.

Regards,
Jerven

There are missing end and start dates for your membership of the CMS
collaboration in Wikidata. Would it be ok with you, if someone adds 2012 as the
end year of your membership in the CMS collaboration. As that is the year of
your last article in inspire HEP related to CMS?

The aim of this wikidata page might seem annoying and very frustrating, and I
truly feel for you. We where not as kind as we should have been. I was looking
at your wikidata records history, and it was added specifically to not forget
great female scientists whom are too often overlooked.

The general idea of wikidata is that people may ask questions: Questions that
may seem esoteric at first sight. To do so we need to collect and structure
data.

I sincerely hope, that this unpleasant experience will soon be forgotten and

google to suppress it. Their advice is to contact the
webmaster of the site.

If you mean the complete URL of the Wikidata entry for
Marie-Claude Lemiaire, the URL is:

*

If I search in Google (using Google Chrome browser, but it should
be the same using other tools), I see the Wikidata page is, for
me at least, the 5th result. It looks like this:

Wikidata
https://www.wikidata.org › wiki

Marie-Claude. 0 references. family name · Lemaire. 0 references.
occupation · physicist. 0 references. academic degree · Doctor of
Philosophy. 0 references.

I believe this shows Google has already updated (re-crawled the
Wikidata page) and no longer shows the unwanted name that was in
the old version of Wikidata. That's all I know.

[Wikidata] Re: Date of ending membership of your collaboration with CMS Re: Re: web reference

2023-08-01 Thread Marie-Claude Lemaire
No I am retired since 2006 and the fact that I sign the Higgs boson discovery
is the kindness of cLS Collaboration who authorized all people having worked
for the preparation of the CMS experiment to sign.

Only Inspire.hep M.c.Lemaire 1 is correct

Yes. It now shows the correct title. Google updated it by itself.
