TASK DESCRIPTIONrepo/includes/Content/EntityContent.php calls $output->recordOption( 'editsection' ) to try to fragment the parser cache on whether section edit links are included. MediaWiki core has not so fragmented the cache since February 2015, and with the recent ParserOptions changes we now have to maintain a hack to keep that varying working just for Wikibase. A new fix for T85252: Edit buttons are getting cached, although their visibility depends on user rights is needed so we can remove that hack. Suggestions: Do edit links after the fact somehow instead of fragmenting the cache, like core does. Use ParserOptions::addExtraKey() to do the fragmenting. Use the new ParserOptionsRegister hook to register your own cache-fragmenting option for use in place of 'editsection'. TASK DESCRIPTIONCurrently, we only check constraints on the statement main snak. We should also check them on qualifiers and on references. Does this apply to all constraint types or just some of them? There are “value only”, “qualifier only” and “reference only” constraint types, which only make sense with this feature. Constraints like “range”, “value type”, or “one of” make sense on qualifiers and references. On the other hand, “item required claim” and “type” don’t really make sense there, I think. But it might not hurt to just allow them anyways, and if people add those constraints, so be it. Implementation idea: checkConstraint could take a ConstraintContext argument instead of the current Statement and EntityDocument arguments; the context would expose the entity, the statement, the snak to be checked, and what kind of context it is (is the snak the main snak, a qualifier, or a reference?). TASK DESCRIPTIONThe “Commons link” constraint check validates, among other things, that the value is “well-formed”: with no underscores instead of spaces with no unprintable characters at the beginning of the link with no leading or trailing spaces with no "%20" instead of spaces with no "Jump to: navigation, search" that sometimes gets pasted along that does not include the namespace (e. g. "File:", "Category:" and etc.) that does not include the full path from Commons (sample: "http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/16/") Some of these are caught by the existing validators for commonsMedia, but checks like “no underscores instead of spaces” are not included. The parser for commonsMedia should normalize the title (e. g. parse and format it: test_Image.jpg → Test Image.jpg), and the validator should check that the title is normalized. Settings for labs and test should be adjusted accordingly. We may want to test this on the live site first, before changing the defaults, though. We could also do it the other way around by removing 279 from analyzer.ini, but that would require the data to be re-generated. Also, treating `P279` (subclass of) as classifying seems sensible. That kind of data could probably used instead of those location maps on Wikipedias as well. I would need a bit of coordination across the projects (new property at Wikidata, Stuff in the Data: namespace at Commons should probably look more like file description pages and needs better documentation, integration with StructuredData). I've got some ideas for that, but the over-all system should probably be discussed elsewhere, (I'm not sure where, though).
