E.g. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/orange lists all forms spelt "orange" in various languages. It would be a good idea to have a special page which lists all lexemes containing forms with the same spelling (e.g. a page which would list all lexemes which have a lemma or form "orange" in different languages). This would provide a more Wiktionary-like view of the data and it could also perhaps be used with Cognate to link Wiktionary pages to Wikidata and vice versa. That would make it easier for Wiktionary users to navigate to Wikidata, and if we link to the special page from the individual lexemes, also easier for Wikidata users to navigate to Wiktionary. It would be different from a search because it would return things in a consistent order (by language then by part of speech, most likely). In particular, capitalisation and accents matter for Wiktionary, but the search would ignore those. However, the entity suggester in the search bar could display this page as an entry point to all lexemes containing that form (as opposed as showing all forms independently in the entity suggester, which would take too much space). Additionally, when there are more than one form with the same string of characters, the string of characters of the form itself could link to this page, so that the users can navigate from a form in one language to the homograph in another (or the same) language located in a different lexeme. RecentChangesLinked could be a method to allow checking for subsets of recent changes, rather than changes to all items. Users that want to do this could create a page on wikidata containing links to the items they are interested in and have the updater hitting that. As well as the change needed to the updater for a new target this would also mean there would be 2 updaters running, each with a different source. While the special page seems to get a lot of hits from spam bots (30k+ a day), I was only able to find two actual requests to it for May 15 (which I chose randomly as example). But when trying to **edit** the Cantonese item descriptions using the mobile app, an error occurs and the edit cannot be saved. The error message seems to suggest the problem has to do with the fact that the domain name (zh-yue.*) doesn't match the language code (yue). (The domain name vs ISO 639 discrepancy is discussed on T10217.) I also notice that the `xsd:decimal` triple does //not// use scientific notation (which would only be legal for `xsd:double`), so I’m not sure what’s going on here anyways, given the context of T179228… does that mean that we weren’t actually producing illegal values, and some step in the pipeline transformed the illegal value into the legal version, and therefore the change to `double` wasn’t even necessary? Or are the `xsd:decimal` triples coming from somewhere else? The data is stored in the format `pct:x,y,w,h` where "x represents the number of pixels from the 0 position on the horizontal axis, calculated as a percentage of the reported width. w represents the width of the region, also calculated as a percentage of the reported width. The same applies to y and h respectively. " (see http://iiif.io/api/image/2.0/#image-information-request-uri-syntax)
Fulltext indexing with elasticsearch won't work, because exact matching is not useful - we'd need to allow the user to select an area they're interested in and match if their specified area intersects with the area described in the qualifier.
As suggested for T194185 we could use the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) to run a SPARQL query, and then use the returned ids as a filter for an elasticsearch query - basically we'd construct a SPARQL query , take all the resulting IDs, and then search elasticsearch for anything else we wanted to search for but only among the (max 1000) IDs we got from WDQS.
The SPARQL query would be pretty involved though - we need to return items where there is an intersection between a user-specified area of the image and the area specified in the qualifier (and because the qualifier is stored as a string we have to convert it into 4 decimals). Here's an example SPARQL for items depicting a boat (`Q35872`) where the boat in is the central box of a 3x3 grid superimposed on the image

It would be useful for users who may not have the expertise or time to run OpenRefine locally, or for groups who want to use OpenRefine collaboratively. We must be clear about the restrictions of this instance: OpenRefine has no access control mechanism as far as I’m aware, so this would be completely open to vandalism. I was expecting that srlimit would limit the results to the number given, since I only wanted the top 10 results.
It seems that, regardless of the value of srlimit, it fetches all pages of the results (presumably fetching `srlimit` each time).
I think it would make sense to only fetch all of the results when srlimit isn't used. If someone wants all the results, fetching them in smaller batches seems inefficient (and likely to cause timeouts).
