We do need a larger solution to the dependency tracking problem all over our infrastructure, with WB/WD being the pathological case. At some point we will start seriously tackling that problem, but until we do, it makes perfect sense to me to have the constraints stored permanently. I see certain questions that need to be resolved before any movement can be made on this front, such as: will we store data only for the latest revision or not (implies different storage semantics and guarantees) how will we detect key/value pairs that need to be invalidated (possibly efficiently) do we benefit from having a multi-DC storage solution for this There are probably more detailed questions that lurk there too. daniel added a comment. @abian this would perhaps be possible, though it would mean introducing a new cross-wiki event flow. Each client wiki would have to trigger a RefreshLinksJob for the entity page on the repo. But the repo would still have to poll the protection status of all wikis, or it would have to cache that info semi-permanently somewhere, somehow. So, this is all doable in theory, but quite a but of work in practice. Maybe a "check protection status" gadget that just pulls the info in when a button is clicked would be sufficient. Random observations I'd like to discuss before we call this: id="app" on the vue root element needs to change - in theory this is bigger than "termbox" as the actual termbox component is a (currently only) child of it. How about wikibase-vue-view for starters? One idea that @daniel and I had for this was simply to spread the ItemId counter out over 2 or more rows.. having one row deal with an odd counter and another deal with an even counter. JeroenDeDauw added a comment. AFAIK Wikibase does not use Geo 4.x, since Geo 4.x requires PHP 7.1. So it is not clear to me how the 4.1 release could affect Wikibase. It is also not clear this issue is related to "GlobeCoordinateValue no longer extends DataValueObject". The code in the serialization thing throwing the exception checks for the interface, which is still implemented, see https://github.com/DataValues/Serialization/blob/master/src/Deserializers/DataValueDeserializer.php#L52-L63 As to "GlobeCoordinateValue no longer extends DataValueObject" technically being a breaking change, this is true. TASK DESCRIPTIONOn vagrant I got the following error when trying to install wikibase:
MediaWiki internal error.
Original exception: [5d98d62860f7a9ca3425d9b6] /wiki/Main_Page InvalidArgumentException from line 54 of /vagrant/mediawiki/extensions/WikibaseQualityConstraints/vendor/data-values/serialization/src/Deserializers/DataValueDeserializer.php: $builders must map data types to callables or class names. 'DataValues\Geo\Values\GlobeCoordinateValue' is not a DataValue class.

"GlobeCoordinateValue no longer extends DataValueObject"
This release increased the minor version, but not the major version, which is needed for things which are not backwards compatible.
It is (apparently?) incompatible with the deserialiser, which hasn't released a new version since last year: https://github.com/DataValues/Serialization

Which I THINK was responsible for installing this version. It will apparently update to any 4.0 version but not to 5.0. Throughout the rollout we also need to check the cache status and cache eviction rate, we probably can't fit results for all entities in the cache.. The job will only really take full effect when T204024 is also done persistently storing the data.
