TASK DESCRIPTION
  The wdqs front-end images and thus the wikibase-docker example broke again in 
T227031  probably due to changes in 
the front-end code that are automatically pulled into image building.
  
  We should find a way to tag the images. Either just at the start of each 
month? Or perhaps the wdqs UI code could start doing versioning?

'docker-compose -d'. I haven't added any properties or items yet, but when I go 
to the query service UI on port 8282 and run a query it returns data from 
Wikidata instead. Is it OK ask about things like this on this channel?
  
  It sounds like the code for the wdqs front-end in terms of where or how 
things are configured has changed and the code in wikibase-docker doing thsi 
configuration needs updating.

  `wdata:` is not the concept uri though. `wd:` is the thing, `wdata:` is 
Wikidata page talking about the thing. We consciously separated them in the 
data.

  Thinking about this more I think this code could live just fine in 
Wikibase.get itself, and just be configurable.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  Support for adding other statements to structured data is now available on 
test. We need to promote testing from Commons stakeholders, and release into

  The link in the toolbox is a bit disappointing because it goes to the very 
same page after 3 redirects (whose one using http):

  - https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1
  
  And as said above it is not really a locator but an identifier, so there is 
no need to use it as a link, even if it works. I guess the main uses of this 
identifier is for federated SPARQL queries from other SPARQL endpoints or more 
generally for exported data.

  Make this a real story written story!!
  
  As a user of the termbox I want to switch to edit mode at every position of 
the termbox. Currently the edit button is only placed next to the interface 
language of an item.
  
  Therefor we want to show a floating button, which appears when the original 
button has left the screen (because of scrolling) and keeps it position 
throughtout scrolling to the end of the termbox.

  Sounds like the right thing to do so to me too, as per 
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T221774#5165165. Warning though, I have very 
limited knowledge so far on what Prometheus is setup to monitor in our stack. 
Links are welcome :)
  
  If I understand correctly, it's main and probably only downside is when 
Prometheus has outdated data on the lag for some reason (if WDQS instance is 
down/depooled? or the refresh job fails often?) .. which is the same scenario 
that raises your last questions, I believe:
  
  > Shall we disregard lag data if it's really old
  
  I think here I'd rather keep counting that lag. It is at the end the latest 
known lag to the user querying the lag (last refresh, refresh rate and interval 
are implementation details). And to this implementation detail, if the latest 
lag that is known is much farther in the past than I expected it to be, then I 
should for safety sake go with the assumption that the instance is actually 
lagging at least that much rather than assuming than risking ignoring that lag, 
which might in edge cases result in processing the edit instead of rejecting it 
due to lag.
  
  Does that sound reasonable? or did I misunderstood too much in there?

live? Here or in the Wikidata.org extension?
  
  That thing is definitely better to live outside of Wikibase codebase, if 
possible, in an extension/external library that is more Wikidata. is there such 
place? what is "Wikidata.org extension"? and did you want to name it 
`WikidataPrometheusSparqlEndpointReplicationStatus` (Wikidata instead of 
Wikimedia), or why Wikimedia?
  
  I'm also wondering if the whole thing (interface and other implmenetation 
`SparqlEndpointReplicationStatusStateHandler` etc) can as well live outside 
Wikibase Repo? (I'm assuming Wikibase Repo has no code related to WDQS but I 
can certainly be off here, haven't checked yet).

  In case we do Prometheus based solution, then I wouldn't keep two 
implementations unless I want to use one as a fallback for the other one. Are 
you thinking of using SPARQL implementation as a fallback in case Prometheus is

  Fixed optional support and added testcase for that code path.
  Service projectedVars actually include both inbound and outbound variables 
(those which are params for the service and those which are produced by labels 
lookup. But for the check if service node could be reordered prior to any 
clauses placed at the bottom of the query, we need to consider only inbound 
variables, so they would be available for the service call, and all outbound 
vars available for the latter filters and other clauses.

  Thanks for discussing this in story writing (apparently).
  The answers unfortunately leave quite some wiggle room, and the ticket has 
not quite reached story format yet - i.e. can not be estimated in this form in 
story time.
  Reason for bringing this up is a mixture of actual business decisions and 
performance concerns (why load it somewhere if it does not apply) - all bullets 
somehow falls into both categories.
  
  - **namespaces**
- currently it depends on the default namespace checker 

 and I don't know if that's right
  - **actions**
- currently it would show in the //submit// action (i.e. wiki save preview) 
view and would potentially cannibalize wiki edits if it side tracks the user 
there
  - **historic revisions**
- infoboxes will show current Wikidata data, we will likely add additional 
updating when starting the edit, so this makes no sense right? Consequently: 
disable on all but the latest revision?!

  If the general opinion is that these questions were inquired about in the 
wrong way, better would have been answered without pestering the product team, 
or generally should be left to chance, I'd be happy to hear feedback about this.

  Our current plan is to require something like `` around the edit link, assuming that 
Module:WikidataIB and similar modules would generate this from invocations like 
`{{#invoke:WikidataIB|…|flow=something}}`. Until we’ve committed to this, and 
the communities have actually started to implement it (so that we know what 
exactly the Module:WikidataIB parameter would be called), we can’t do anything 
here.

  I do not speak php, but looking at the code Multichill linked to, it seems 
like the source code for `getEntity `can be found at EntityAccessor.php 

 (line 139) which calls `entityIdParser `to convert string version of entity ID 
to an integer. The code for entityIdParser can be found here 
.
 Interestingly ItemId.php 
 
function checks that entity ID string fits `/^Q[1-9]\d{0,9}\z/i` regex pattern 
and than strips the "Q" from the begging of the string to get the integer. So 
in this code the entity IDs starting with "Q" are hardwired.

  or perhaps the simplest solution is to display it plaintext, though, we 
probably ought to also support https in WDQS, etc.
