  It's actually just for English Wikipedia. The number from the WMDE dashboard 
 for all Wikipedia 
projects is 31.99% (i.e. the inverse of the 68.01% number provided under "% of 
Articles that use Wikidata" in the tinier table that aggregates each project 
family). It varies a lot by wiki too -- vecwiki seems to have almost every 
article with some form of Wikidata transclusion whereas 62% of articles on 
Japanese Wikipedia don't have a single Wikidata-based template. This data was 
only recently added there (see T257962 
).

  Wikidata description usage isn't tracked on wbc_entity_usage as far as I can 
tell so can't be queried in any straightforward way. The way I reached the 54% 
number is that I checked each article in my sample to see whether the 
description was from Wikidata using the gadget mentioned here 
.
 On enwiki at least, Wikidata is the default unless there is a short 
description provided on the page, which supposedly is tracked by this category 
 (which 
is how I verified this number -- you can see that the category has 2.1M pages 
in it, so about 1/3 of articles overwrite the Wikidata description). That said, 
maybe 10-20% of articles that used Wikidata didn't actually show a description 
because it hadn't been added in Wikidata yet.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  In the process of training ORES/articlequality AI to estimate the quality of 
Wikidata items, we are using a set of features 

 including some that are depending on the `datatype` of a statement. However, 
it turns out that the `datatype` is currently never available (`None`) in the 
actual data that we are working with. This means that some of the features are 
just plain not working and our model isn't as good as it could be.
  
  Extensive digging revealed that the problem is that we are using the "wrong" 
API endpoint. Currently, we are using  
`action=query&prop=revisions&rvprop=content` which gives us the plain content 
of the revision as it is stored in the database. However, we do not store a 
properties `datatype` in the serialization of an item in the database and thus 
it is not available in the request-response.

  - That probably has to be implemented by changing which api is used by the 
revscoring Extractor

of xml dump

TASK DESCRIPTION
  As a Wikipedia editor, I want to get //all// labels of a Wikidata item, in 
order to be able to describe an item not just in the content language of my 
wiki, but also in several other minority languages it covers.
  
  **Problem:**
  Wikidata includes support for several custom language codes, by setting 
`$wmgExtraLanguageNames` in InitialiseSettings.php 

 (warning, large file, may slow down your browser). However, those language 
codes are only defined for Wikidata (test and real) and Commons; on client 
wikis, Wikibase does not consider them to be valid, and therefore refuses to 
return labels in those languages, even if they’re defined on Wikidata.
  
  **Example:**
  Swedish Wikipedia would like to use the smj label of Tysfjord (Q493851) 
, or the fkv label of Porsanger 
(Q483885) . The following work snippets 
work in a Lua sandbox on Wikidata 
, 
but not in a Lua sandbox on Swedish Wikipedia
