  `mowiki` is a deleted wiki, which is no longer recognised or served anywhere 
from the MW side. See also

  `huwikinews` is a closed wiki, which are fully functional and publicly served 
with existing pages that may also be active Wikidata clients. The only thing 
about closed wikis from an infra perspective, is that people cannot register 
new accounts and that (most) people are unable to make edits there.
  
  I don't know exactly what the impact of removing subscriptions is at 
T292440#7398803 , but my gut 
sense is that closed wikis should not be treated differently from open wikis 
for most purposes. It might be okay to not send them change propagations, but 
that could potentially cause problems. E.g. closed wikis do still use parser 
cache, and Commons, and they can still receive purges and the ocasional edit 
from a global bot or interface editor.

  In your specific query, I suggest removing the `DISTINCT`: in combination 
with `GROUP BY`, it makes no difference.
  
  More generally, this is likely an Blazegraph limitation. I don’t know if 
there’s still an upstream that we could even report this to (the Jira that I 
find in my history seems to be dead).

  Interesting, I thought Wikidata was getting too big for 1 machine, but I 
might misunderstood the WMF operations team and the statements in the tickets 
surrounding BG.
  
  Wikidata could easily triple in the number of triples within a year if all 
horses are let loose and people start importing all scientific papers, books 
and chemicals in Wikipedia and all the authors associated with those.
  
  > 7. Rya's performance bottleneck is actually very similar to that of 
Blazegraph. When you look at the many example queries for the WDQS on 
https://query.wikidata.org , almost none of them require the computation of a 
large intermediate result. For the simple reason that such queries don't work 
well with Blazegraph (they take forever or time out). Large intermediate 
results occur either when you have no single very selective triples in your 
query or when there is no LIMIT or the LIMIT is preceded by an ORDER BY or 
GROUP BY (so that you have to compute a large intermediate result before you 
can LIMIT it to the top-ranked items).
  
  Interesting! I was unaware of this, but it makes sense from my interactions 
with BG.
  
  > In summary, Rya does not look like a good choice for several reasons, most 
notably: not well-maintained, efficient only for quite particular kinds of 
queries, and similar performance bottlenecks as Blazegraph.

  I have changed the Czech descriptions of some Wikidata entities. And later, I 
have found that a few of these changed entities still show old (pre-edit) 
descriptions in WQS and in search results on Wikidata.
  
  Take a look at this WQS query  which shows the Czech 
descriptions of four affected entities. All of the displayed descriptions read 
//“rozcestník”//. Compare it with one of those entities 
 which in fact has 
//“rozcestník na projektech Wikimedia”// (changed in this edit 
).
  
  The same old description is displayed as a snippet in the full-text search 
results 

 (API 
).
 On the other hand, the search box suggestion dropdown shows the correct 
updated text (API 
?)
  
  This is not really a big problem for me. I am not sure if it is worthwhile to 
create a bugreport for it or it should fix itself in some time (it’s been 
almost two weeks and it did not fix itself yet). And if it is normal and 
well-known that WQS sometimes gets out of sync or this is a special terrible 
bug worth fixing. :-) So – yeah, do anything you consider useful with this 
report, close it as uninteresting if you want, whatever.
