  Exactly!. Thanks for pointing this out. We should however be wary that those 
low numbers don't reflect a lack of potential. Once and a while I try the WCQS 
and I keep being impressed by its potential, only to be disappointed when 
trying to use it at scale. We should keep reiterating that introducing the 
authentication to the SPARQL endpoint was a bad design choice.

 suggests that it's getting ~2.5 queries per second. WDQS 
(https://grafana.wikimedia.org/d/00489/wikidata-query-service?orgId=1&refresh=1m&var-cluster_name=wdqs&from=now-2d&to=now&viewPanel=18)
  on the other hand is two orders of magnitude higher, ~250q/s.

  After looking into this a bit more we need clarification on what we want to 
achieve here. I assume we want to provide access to the statements that are 
stored in the mediainfo entities on Commons and shown on the file description 
pages. If this is correct then the current REST API state doesn't actually 
allow that because it does not yet have any routes for mediainfo entities. If 
that's the desired outcome then we'd need a separate ticket to track that 
(which I can create after confirmation).

 we saw some numbers that didn't fully make sense during a recent outage 

  
  - Create the grizzly dashboard

  Revised totals for alerts in the last year after looking at Logstash:
  
  `RdfStreamingUpdaterHighConsumerUpdateLag` 373
  `RdfStreamingUpdaterFlinkProcessingLatencyIsHigh` 63
  `RdfStreamingUpdaterFlinkJobUnstable` 125
  
  The majority of all three alert types fired during the last outage. As 
previously stated, `RdfStreamingUpdaterHighConsumerUpdateLag` seems to be our 
best indicator, as it only triggered once outside the incident window.
  
  The other two alerts seem to fire fairly frequently, but we'll need further 
analysis to determine how many of these alerts indicated a real issue.

 you can see two requests going to 
`https://maps.wikimedia.org/img/osm-intl,[…].png?lang=en&domain=www.wikidata.org&title=Special%3ABadtitle%2Fdummy+title+for+API+calls+set+in+api.php&groups=[…]`,
 which results in http 400:

  The correct page title (Q17151 in this case) should be used here, but

TASK DESCRIPTION
  Wikibase renders Kartographer maps via `CachingKartographerEmbeddingHandler` 
which is typically used in contexts where we don't have access to the page 
title/ revision id we're rendering for (as the Wikibase formatter stack is 
supposed to be decoupled from these specifics). Currently this is being worked 
around by just assuming the revision id is the latest revision and the page 
title is the main request title (`RequestContext::getMain()->getTitle()`).
  
  In order to fix this I propose:
  
  1. Leaving the preview formatter 
(`SnakFormatter::FORMAT_HTML_VERBOSE_PREVIEW`) as is, as I don't see a good way 
to address this and its only used for previews while editing (the API used for 
this currently doesn't know which page it operates on, but for previews that 
should be fine, as they don't intend to put data into the parser cache anyway).
  2. Allow (optionally, due to the restrictions we face regarding preview html) 
injecting the page title and revision id into 
`CachingKartographerEmbeddingHandler`
  3. Make the html formatter (`SnakFormatter::FORMAT_HTML`) output a simple, 
but easy to identify html snippet containing the coordinate and potential 
metadata
  4. In repo, use the `ContentAlterParserOutput` hook to extract the simple 
html references and properly render the Kartographer maps at this point (where 
we have access to the page title and revision id we're parsing for). This would 
still be using `CachingKartographerEmbeddingHandler`.
  5. The ParserOutput handling for Kartographer maps 
(`GlobeCoordinateKartographerDataUpdater`) should be changed to also use the 
actual page title and revision id (which should be available at that point).
