[from a Slack thread] The apps have pretty different ways of specifying/consuming design tokens, so I'm not sure that specifying them in JSON format (and/or pulling them from LESS files) would be useful at the moment. As long as they are described on a well-known Wiki location, that should be sufficient for us. Additionally, each app platform has its own design requirements and constraints that might need to deviate from the prescribed upstream tokens. We are very close to releasing an updated version of the Suggested Edits feature that will address precisely this kind of situation: it will track the number of the user's edits that have been reverted, and if the number of reverts exceeds a certain threshold, the feature will become disabled. > wrong and incorrect descriptions suggested by this feature To clarify, the Suggested Edits feature itself does not suggest a description to add; it merely shows articles that are missing a description, and asks the user to populate it. So if this user is writing descriptions that are incorrect, wouldn't that be considered unconstructive editing, and possibly grounds for a temporary block (after, of course, a warning on the user's talk page)? How should it know that it should convert it to gsw? Dbrant added a comment. Lest I get back on my hobby horse of auto-generated descriptions... It seems like what we have here is a conflict of use cases. According to the official guidelines, the purpose of the description is to "disambiguate items with the same or similar labels," which is subtly but crucially different from our use case of "a one-line summary of the subject." I fear that if we're not aligned on these use cases at these early stages, then we'll have deeper issues than capitalization later on.
