Keegan added a comment. I'm not sure what to do with this plan at the moment. The SDC MassMessage list reaches 21 wikis. Presumably these are the wikis where people have signed up to prefer receiving the newsletter. I'm assuming that they signed up with the expectation of getting the actual news on the page they put down, and not an echo notification about it on another wiki. Only on person is registered on MW.org to receive the newsletter. If the newsletter were run on Meta or Commons, I can find much more value. At present, I'm struggling to see the benefit of doing the same work twice (MassMessage and Newsletter) without actually increasing scope. Thoughts?
