Just for the record since we've rejected it for other reasons, inline SVGs would also reduce the number of http requests and would resolve the clipping and baseline problems we've seen in the past. It's a trade-off between making everybody download both MathML *and* SVG (which is larger), or only doing so where MathML is not supported. There is also a complexity trade-off between simple stand-alone fall-back images, and the maintenance of a global per-page glyph table. Overall, the size of math fallbacks is moderate compared to a page with photos, and it looks like we can get the size close to that of low-resolution PNG images with minification. To me, this seems to be a good compromise for now, and we can always re-evaluate later. you link to the US version of cc-by-sa 3.0 when you mention it first in the

It might be simplest to change the {{Copyright by Wikimedia}} template so that
it just transcludes the trademark template and the CC-BY-SA-3.0 template, e.g.
by replacing its code with that at:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Mike_Peel/WMF
A better approach, though, would be to update {{Wikimedia trademark}} to make
it clear that the Wikimedia logos are CC-BY-SA, but that the rest of the file
still needs to have an appropriate free license, and then to simply redirect
the copyright template to the trademark template.

Hi Kirill and WMDC, I’m really impressed both by how well you’ve quantified your aims, and how you’ve set them out in this document. This is a great plan! I would suggest that you expand on your aims for your conferences, though (it’s not clear what quantitative outcomes you are aiming for from the conferences). The biggest worry I have is that you don’t match your activities against a budget - it’s not clear if you have sufficient funding to achieve your aims, and whether the outcomes are going to be worth the financial expenditure, although I’m sure that they will be when you work through the numbers.
