Thanks for the question, a lot of wikimedians get confused about these
regional divisions.
We typically use the Wikimedia eight region model when doing structured
work (both as an affiliate or volunteer-led) in the global context of
Wikimedia: https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_regions
