[Wikimediaindia-l] Nominations for SAARC Movement Charter selector are open until 5 PM / 10 October

Hello everyone,

Thank you to all of those who attended today's meeting to discuss the
selection process for the selector of the SAARC/South Asia region.

Based on the results of the discussion, you will have a chance to nominate
yourself as a selector

(or to encourage people from your affiliate/group to self-nominate!) until *5
PM on 10 October*, according to the local time *anywhere in the SAARC
region*.

*Anyone can self-nominate. *You're not obliged to be a representative of a
particular affiliate, although you'll need to be a member of one -
communities, on the other hand, will have a chance to participate in the
open elections that will start in a couple of days.

[Wikimediaindia-l] Nominate your favorite WD project for WikidataCon 2021

Hello all!

As a reminder, it's time to submit your nomination and submission for
*WikidataCon
2021*.

During last *WikidataCon* in Berlin, *WikiProject India* had won the *Community
Building award*. This time to you can nominate your favorite Wikidata
projects for the community awards. It can be any tools, WikiProjects,
events, initiatives. Feel free to add anything you like before 10th of
October.[1]

We have seen many cool gadgets/tools that have been created/developed by
the community which are very useful for the community members for editing
and interacting with Wikidata. I believe many community members are
interested in discovering new gadgets and scripts during this WD
conference. So if you are a tool developer or experienced tool user you are
invited to submit a proposal for a presentation for WikidataCon 2021. If
you are interested, you can find information about how to submit a session
proposal at [2], and you can access the submission form here at [3].

And finally you can also create birthday presents  for Wikidata’s ninth
anniversary! You can prepare a present, with a team or on your own, and
present it during the birthday presents lightning talks session. If you
would like to book a slot, make sure to fill in this form before October
16th.[4]
