This is definitely a great idea, well done. :-) I think the last time that local ads were tried for events was back in 2010 with Britain Loves Wikipedia at the Postal Museum and Archive, which worked really well. Another option is for WMUK to invite local donors to come along to them - I think this might have been done before, but I can’t recall whether it was a success or not. Perhaps we could give this a go for the Manchester wikimeet on the 27th?
