Dear all

I'm writing to let you know that our Communications Co-ordinator John Lubbock
will be leaving Wikimedia UK at the end of January next year. I'd like to
thank John for all his excellent work for the charity in the (nearly) four
years since he joined us, and to wish him all the best in his future
endeavours. John is likely to continue supporting several ongoing Wikimedia
projects as a volunteer and will remain a valued part of our community
going forward.

Hopefully there will be an opportunity for some of you to see John in
person before he leaves, and I'm sure he'll be in touch himself over the
next couple of months.

I'm doing another push on our election night editathon next week. We've had
a couple of journalists ask to come along to it, so I'd really like to get
a few more experienced Wikipedia editors to come to it to help out with the
work we need to do to update MPs pages. If you or anyone else you know
