Re: readme: Update German translation

2013-07-09 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
 Hi ... list,
Hi Julian

I think liesmich is more common than lesmich, although both sound
awkward. Do we need/want to translate that?

Yes really. 'Liesmich' is a direct translation of 'readme'. Eventually
this older translation was a simply typo?
So please change this!
Thanks.

 Best,
 Julian

[Wine] German translation - netstat.exe

2013-06-18 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
Hi list,

in wines call for translators is listed one 'spelling error' in the
German translation which isn't one.
http://fgouget.free.fr/wine-po/

The translation is correct:
http://fgouget.free.fr/wine-po/de.spell.html

---cite---
[Proto] (unchanged) 10453
 - Porto, Proton, Photo, Protest, Protzen
---/cite---
is correct translated to 'Proto'. 'Proto' is used as an abbreviation
for protocol.

This appears in 'netstat.exe' (src/wine/programs/netstat).
I checked this in an 'Windows 7' installation running the original
command.

Who is responsible for the list in
http://fgouget.free.fr/wine-po/?
You may please take this one faulty error away.

Re: [AppDB]: Only display comments section in case version has maintainers

2013-04-29 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
Hi list,

Forced moderation of comments could work for apps with maintainers
who are doing their job, but most of the spam I recently deleted was
 in unmaintained apps.

This will be the first step towards a better maintained AppDB!

My suggestion would be to block comments
altogether on unmaintained apps, not just because of spam, but
because of other inappropriate things that are not being monitored,
such as posting links to illegal downloads.

For me it seems to be a got idea to get the maintainers more in charge
also to everything around their maintained applications.

I general I would like to have this submitted patch in the actual
AppDB. And if it is so bad for some maintainers, they might start a
new discussion here..

Thanks to all who did some work when creating an patch and wrote some
issues here!

[AppDB]: Recent UCE/Spam waves in AppDBs comments

2013-04-28 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
Hi list,
hello Rosanne,

I just saw again a lot of spam posted into the AppDB.
Thanks to Rosanne who deleted this senseless and useless mails
rapidly.
But isn't there a real solution for this problem?
OK, to kill this guys maybe the best way, but than I will get seriously
problems. :-) So please, isn't there a way to set up a filter - for
user names or, with more effect, for IPs of this bad guys ISPs?
I know, this will cause 'collateral damage' but if it helps to prevent
the next wave of spam - I think it's OK.

This maybe a task for AppDBs administrator, isn't it?

No. #2 is maintained by me, so I deleted the comment just some

Is it possible, to mail to all maintainers to inform them about the
actual mail food and to have an eye on their applications?

If so please do it.

[AppDB] Cannot submit rejected Test results after change

2012-12-30 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
¡Hola!

In AppDB I got a problem, exactly with one of my maintained
applications:

some days ago someone filed a test about the mail program 'The Bat!'.
This test has this URL:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=versioniId=23662iTestingId=75937

So AppDB sent me an email about this test and I went to its web
interface. There I rejected this test result because of some incorrect
version numberings.

Than I got some days later a mail about a new submitted test. I logged
into AppDB again to my control panel but I didn't saw this new
submitted test there.
So I had and have no change to commit this test results. If you follow
the link above you will see: the test results are still there.

So my conclusion:
1.) Someone, maybe you will have to commit this test.
2.) Something went wrong with the AppDB.

Thanks for your attention and your help!

Re: AppDB: Could someone please block this Spammer (UCE)

2012-10-03 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
Hello Rosanne,

sorry for misspelling your first name in my mail before.

I tried deleting the spammer's account, and the system asked me if
I really wanted to, but it didn't delete it even after I said yes.
I'm not sure that would have helped anyway, as he could easily just
 create a new account.

couldn't you simply reset the spammers password?
So if his account is powned he will have to get a new one.

We really do need some sort of moderation for
AppDB comments similar to what's on the forum.

In general this is a good idea.

Re: AppDB: Could someone please block this Spammer (UCE)

2012-10-03 Thread Joerg Schiermeier
Hello André,

AH In the meantime you could change your preferences in the appdb (Send email
notifications)

Than I'm in peace - that's right.

But this have a side-effect:
I also will not be informed by AppDB if someone add a new test or a
comment in my attended applications: the mails to remain an
applications maintainer to do his work are also switched off.

This isn't really what I want.

Hello Rosanne,

you wrote:

RD if that's something only admins have.

I think you're right:
in my prefs I only see 'Send email notifications' with 'yes' and
'no'.
Maybe a reason to file a 'bug/missing function in AppDB' in wines
Bugzilla? (Or a patch ;)
Will do it later to hold this point in mind.

Thanks for your respond.

maybe you want to send a patch
