Re: [WISPA] ezlinx.net SPAM

2005-12-26 Thread JohnnyO

I have nothing but good to say about Jack and his company. Although we've never had any business dealings together. I have spoken with him on the phone several times regarding Alvarion issues. They are a legit business and if I ever have the need, this is who I will send our stuff to repair.

This is how I picture them. They started as an Alvarian shop. They
learned how to fix them, had the idea "I'll fix others". I believe this
because there spam used to say only alvarian. I think they have an
alvarian network and figured anyone who wanted radios fixed, would send
them in, they keep half (to use on their network) and give you the other
half back no charge. But now they fix all kinds of brands, even
"transios" :) I am just guessing all this but anyway. I don't know
if their legit, but I do know I hate the spam. And if only for that
reasonI'll never use them.

All that money divided by 3,000 WISPs = $21,000 each. Doesn't sound

network with that kinda cash in each our pockets.

Re: [WISPA] Vivato

2005-12-26 Thread Matt Liotta
I don't even think it would take $21k. Most WISPs already have a POP
that could with the right radio link to another WISP's POP. Therefore,
in the majority of cases it would take buying one radio on each side and
paying for the install on each. When complete there would be two
redundant connections.
