Its the total divided in half by the software from what I have been told. This would make sense since it can be upgraded to the higher speed. I do not think that compression is used at all but I am not for sure. Matt is correct, you must use dual pol antennas or two antennas with diversity to achieve this throughput. How long is the link you want to do? I can give you a good idea on throughput if you send me the longitude and latitude of the end points and heights of antennas.
