[Wireshark-dev] compile error in airpcap_dlg.c:‘GTK_CAN_DEFAULT’ undeclared

2012-03-28 Thread Toralf Förster
Since few days I got this eror (already made a distclean, autogen and
configure) :

airpcap_dlg.c: In function ‘display_airpcap_key_management_cb’:
airpcap_dlg.c:2334:51: error: ‘GTK_CAN_DEFAULT’ undeclared (first use in this
function)
airpcap_dlg.c:2334:51: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once
for each function it appears in
make[2]: *** [libgtkui_a-airpcap_dlg.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs
mv -f .deps/libgtkui_a-about_dlg.Tpo .deps/libgtkui_a-about_dlg.Po

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tfoerste/devel/wireshark'
make: *** [all] Error 2

My nuild 1-liner is :

CFLAGS=-O2 -march=native -pipe CXXFLAGS=${CFLAGS} ./configure --with-gtk3;
sed -i 's/\-DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED//g' ui/gtk/Makefile; sed -i 's/\-
DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED//g' ui/gtk/Makefile; make -j 2

TIA for any advice.

[Wireshark-dev] crash in libgcrypt-11.dll on Win7 with nightly build and 1.6.6

2012-03-28 Thread Deny IP Any Any
First Wireshark bug report, please be gentle.

I had a copy of Wireshark 1.6.2 installed and working for a long time.
Today I upgraded to 1.6.6; now, Wireshark crashes when it launches.
The latest nightly rebuild also crashes when it loads, in the same
module. It appears to be complaining about libgcrypt-11, but I'm not a
programmer.

I can confirm that this happens on 64-bit Windows if you have SSL
decryption keys configured. Can you try renaming
%APPDATA%\Wireshark\ssl_keys temporarily?

[Wireshark-dev] TCP error not visible in linux

2012-03-28 Thread vijay
Hi,

I have Wireshark 1.6.5 installed in Windows (host OS) and ubuntu (guest OS
through VirtualBox). When i run wireshark simultaneously on
both the platforms Windows version reports TCP errors like (lost
segment/out of order/ack for lost segment and so on). But the linux version
doesnt report any such error. Is there any configuration that is missing on
my linux version?

Also the linux version doesnt give colors to packets based on the protocol,
but the windows version does. I have enabled packet colorization
setting in both. Any idea what wrong here?

Thanks
Vijay
