I believe it is the sum of the squares.  For example SUMSQ(2,3,4) = 29

(2*2) + (3*3) + (4*4) = 4 + 9 + 16 = 29



It may be a simple as breaking up Excel's fancy SUMSQ into a formula.

sqrt( ((b1-b2)*(b1-b2)) + ((c1-c2)*(c1-c2)) + ((d1-d2)*(d1-d2)) ) = e
