[WiX-users] msiexec stops working

2010-11-30 Thread Juan Pascual (Gmail)

After installing a msi built with wix i need to re register msiexec to
install/uninstall other msi.

steps

1) Install my msi
2) After this i can install/uninstall this msi or others.
3) After some time (minutes), i can't install nor uninstall any msi. The
message displayed is "The windos installer service could not be
accessed. etc"
4) To correct this i run msiexec /unregserverv msiexec /regserver and
everithing starts to work.

Wix Version: both 3.5 / 3.6 weekly, using vs 2010 integration.

The msi is built on a W7 64 bit.
The setup is installed in a XP SP3 32 bit.
Both are virtual machines.

Attached goes the project.

__Product.wxs is the main wxs.

Thanks in advance

Re: [WiX-users] Self Hosted WCF Service Install

2009-11-22 Thread Gmail
Word on the Christmas stuff. I got around it by programmatically
setting the endpoint configuration, so no need to dig further. Thanks
for the help though.

[WiX-users] iis:WebSite and iis:WebAddress

2007-07-04 Thread Moti Regev (Gmail)

Hello

In the iis:WebSite there is  need to supply the  iis:WebAddress with
port number (80 in most case).
But if this port changed after installation in the iis configuration
the uninstall fail with the following error:
'Error 26002. Failed to read IIsWebSite table.   (-2147023728 )'
Any solution?

Thx,
Moti
