Apart from it being a crutch, it's not always your files. If you include Microsoft or 3rd party files it's a really bad idea to potentially revert (for example) security fixes by replacing any newer versions on customer machines with your outdated ones. Did anyone encounter similar problem and may have some idea of where to look next? Hi, I ran into an issue that one of dll's in an upgrade wasn't copied to the destination folder. I examined the msi with LessMSI, the files were packaged correctly. Make sure the file version # is updated in file version under assembly info within assembly info if you are using VS 2010 and above. Also, use Orca to view the properties of an MSI installer.
