Yes, you need to specify it on the candle and light command lines:

 

candle -ext WixIIsExtension .etc.

I have specified the WixIISExtension like this:

xmlns:iis="http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/IIsExtension";>

Actually, it was done using WixCop to convert from version 2. 

Is there some place else I need to specify this extension?  I am getting the
error (copied below) when trying to build within VS2005.
