I cannot reproduce it. But if the problem is really out of memory
(as suspected), someone else (maybe on a 32 bit system) should test
it, as I am on a 64bit system with 6 GiB of RAM...

In http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=148370#45 the
reporter indicates that it crashed on a line png_rows[y] =
alloca(png_get_rowbytes(png, pinfo));. alloca allocates memory on the
stack, and the manpage on my system specifically notes If the
allocation causes stack overflow, program behavior is undefined.

It looks like it may have been fixed in git commit
2ccc8e4a79a3179454d82b9acc574135ea6369a4, as that commit changed it to
use malloc instead.

Do you talk about bugs that are listed in Debian BTS? I'll help you
with them if you can point me to the new wmaker - .deb

Hi Andreas,

yes, I am talking about debian bugs.

You can download the source package from mentors (
http://mentors.debian.net/package/wmaker ) or using dget ( dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/w/wmaker/wmaker_0.95.0-1.dsc
). Then you can build it (If you need any help, contact me).

IMO, I think that is better check what bugs are solved in this version,
but no try to solve bugs (don't make patches for upstream / debian),
because I think is better don't spend time and make this first debian
package for the next monday.

libwings-dev, libwmaker0-dev and libwraster3-dev bugs are checked and
solved. The bug #72917 in libwraster3 seems to be open.

About wmaker, the bugs on my previous mail are checked and solved.
Other bugs, like #188870, #295319, #292633 are opened. I am thinking
about #33490, because we make the package wmaker-common, but I am not
sure if we want split it in a new package wmaker-utils.

There are about 190 bugs, probably most of them are solved, but we need
check and it takes time. Probably is better try to split the work in
blocks between people (don't overlap the work), using the
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?package=wmaker webpage:

Checked - Outstanding bugs -- Important bugs; Patch Available (2
bugs)

Outstanding bugs -- Important bugs; Confirmed (1 bug)
Outstanding bugs -- Important bugs; Unclassified (28 bugs)
Outstanding bugs -- Important bugs; More information needed (1 bug)
Outstanding bugs -- Normal bugs; Patch Available (4 bugs)
Outstanding bugs -- Normal bugs; Unclassified (74 bugs)
Outstanding bugs -- Normal bugs; More information needed (3 bugs)
Checked - Outstanding bugs -- Minor bugs; Patch Available (1 bug)
Outstanding bugs -- Minor bugs; Unclassified (14 bugs)
Outstanding bugs -- Wishlist items; Unclassified (31 bugs)
Forwarded bugs -- Important bugs (2 bugs)
Forwarded bugs -- Normal bugs (18 bugs)
Checked - Forwarded bugs -- Minor bugs (1 bug)
Forwarded bugs -- Wishlist items (4 bugs)
Checked - Resolved bugs -- Important bugs (1 bug)

Thanks for your help,
Best Regards,
kix

Best regards
Andreas

I use dpkg-buildpackage

dget -x

cd wmaker-crm
dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -tc (don't gpg sign (uc, us), clean the source
after build (tc))
cd ..
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Yes, but we can do bugs # 10 ; bugs # 20;... per section.

Was a quick idea, perhaps wrong. Other ideas are welcome

Cheers.
