Been reporting on Live Nation’s bad behavior for some 20 years, but this time 
my little but mighty independent trade pub is no longer independent. But not to 
defend the Evil Empire my now-parent company is allegedly colluding with, let 
it be known that the Taylor Swift Eras tour is not affiliated with Live Nation, 
but with AEG whose primary ticketer is AXS. 



But my take on the DOJ action? More awful Taylor Swift lyrics passing as 
commentary, lots of grandstanding and, ultimately, a quiet settlement.

Sorry for the Sgt Schultz bit … this broke, of course, on the day we at 
Pollstar publish. I’ve since had an opportunity to read the entire complaint. 
For anyone who got past the faulty Taylor Swift news peg, Oak View Group is our 
parent company.
