Re: [WSG] Color Blindnesss
Somewhere out there, I lost my link to it in an old HDD crash, there is a site that allows you to test your site using the various perceptions people with various types of color blindness suffer from - it was actually quite handy. But there is other sites out there now that atleast let you choose or test the color schemes - though not as useful as the site reader. The results we got showed that a wide range of colors works better for them than a narrow range. Of course it is not a good idea to uses exclusively bright red and bright green for everything on the sight, but a dark green next to a bright red with other colors will work quite well. Even for people with magenta-yellow, or violet-orange color blindness using a broad range of saturation's works better than having everything in restricted color ranges. This may further limit the palette you have available. * The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list getting help * * The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list getting help *

Here's one site that does that. http://vischeck.com/ on this page: http://www.vischeck.com/vischeck/vischeckURL.php Although when I've tried it, it's been very slow. -- Bill McAvinney Massachusetts Institute of Technology Web Services Administrative Computing, IST 617-669-1015 * The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list getting help *
