RE: [WSG] Issues making compliant code using Joomla! [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

2008-08-20 Thread Chris Vickery
Thanks James. What sort of security flaws did you find? I have been told to
make sure the system is up to date, but not much info on what to look out for.

I know recently there was a big breach where a Viagra company worked out how to
get a bot to insert their branding into page metadata.

I stopped using Joomla! because of security flaws and the whole system is code
bloated and difficult to understand. The documentation is also weak.

I started getting to grips with Symfony, although strictly not a CMS, it offers
alot more power and flexability.

2008-08-14 Thread Kim Kruse

Good morning Alex and Florin,

I hope it would be possible that Florin could have the sample ready for
me today. Do you think it's possible? (Please tell him to use the sample
code I posted.

Also I would be great if I could have the header for the formbuilder
index page (whip and devil@) and the side thing for the 4 header images.
Then I could finish of the formbuilder this weekend.

Let me know...

Coincidentally, only yesterday did I discover a number of joomla-based
sites (here in AU and elsewhere) that had been hacked. I alerted the
owners. Yesterday afternoon they were clean (those that had been fixed)
and this morning fresh new code had been injected.

We've got a company setting a site up for us in Joomla. Their other

suggestions.
