Re: [WSG] Multiple Firefox on Mac
On Linux, there's Swiftweasel (sw) 3.0.1 based on Firefox (fx; not FF) 3.0.1. Sw has created their own profile (.sw3) On Thu, Jul 24, 2008 at 9:33 PM, Paul Collins <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi all, > > Does anyone have a link to a decent reference on running Firefox 2 & 3 > simultaneously on Mac? Multifirefox works for me. http://www.dangerouslyawesome.com/category/multifirefox/ It allows you to choose a version of firefox as well as a profile so that you can keep them separate if you need different extensions or different versions of extensions. Re: [WSG] Multiple Firefox on Mac
The procedure both in Linux and Windows (I haven't tried on Mac) is to install each version of Firefox on a different folder, using a different profile for the execution ( *-p my-profile* ) with the* -no-remote*modifier. Example: In Windows, I've create a shortcut for each one, using the commands: "C:\Program files\Firefox-1.5\firefox.exe" -p Firefox-1.5 -no-remote "C:\Program files\Firefox-2.0\firefox.exe" -p Firefox-2.0 -no-remote "C:\Program files\Firefox-3.0\firefox.exe" -p Firefox-3.0 -no-remote I hope you can do this on Mac. Re: [WSG] Multiple Firefox on Mac
Hi Paul Are you sure it is possible? On Linux FF is always displaying only one version of FF. In example if I first run FF3 and the click on an icon which is assigned with the FF2 program it will display next window of FF3. [WSG] Multiple Firefox on Mac
Hi all, Does anyone have a link to a decent reference on running Firefox 2 & 3 simultaneously on Mac? I can't seem to find a decent one out there. Basically, I've created the new profile, installed Firefox 3 under a different name, but I can't find any information on how you create shortcuts to the programs on the Mac so I can add the noremote stuff. Thanks for any help, Paul *** List Guidelines: http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm Unsubscribe: http://webstandardsgroup.org/join/unsubscribe.cfm Help: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ***

You can't have them both open at the same time, though, if that's what you mean. -- - Matthew *** List Guidelines: http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm Unsubscribe: http://webstandardsgroup.org/join/unsubscribe.cfm Help: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ***
