[wsjt-devel] Auto sequence shouldn't stop after other op sends 73 to a different call...

2017-09-15 Thread Ross Primrose
Having TX no longer enabled when someone comes back to a call other than
your own is a great thing, but I don't think it should disable TX after
a 73 sent to another call.  I  typically enable TX when I expect the
CQing station to be sending 73 so I can transmit the full 15sec in the
normally dead air after the CQing station sends 73. Currently, if you
enable TX under those circumstances when the CQing station sends the 73
TX enable is turned off

Re: [wsjt-devel] FT8 and "Call 1st"

I would submit that for ANY automated QSO sequencing STOPPING when you
shouldn't be transmitting is MORE important than sending the correct
transmission at the right time...

I like it as it is. One thing though, it gets broken by callsigns
such as
EA8/G8BCG. When commuted to G8BCG for the QSO, auto sequence
stops. Not a
big deal since reciprocal calls such as this one are not too
common. My

over-riding request is to not remove "Call 1st".

Re: [wsjt-devel] FT8 + Autoseq + Free Text TX5

2017-07-10 Thread Ross Primrose
Should being the key word. I was working with another local ham last
night, I was running 7833, he was 78 20somthing. I sent a TX5 that was
"5W 160L TU 73" when he would have been expecting a generated 73 and his
end didn't trigger the 73, he just kept sending the auto-generated RRR...

Hi Neil,

there is no need for a reply to a sign off message but if it contains
the word "73" it should work the same as a standard 73 message.
