Hi Bill,

that is useful in that it is not the same crash. That probably means the
fault is happening prior to the crash, perhaps some memory corruption,
and the application is tripping over it later. Having said earlier that
the diagnostic code should not be part of the problem, I now see that it
is the problem. I have coded a fix for future releases. In the meantime
here is a build that, correctly, does not include the offending
diagnostic code:

Please install it to replace your WSJT-X v2.0.1 installation and see if
it stops the crash happening?

Can someone tell me why this is happening? Invalid kernel address???

I have not seen this prior to this version.

This happens several times a week.

Hi Bill,

thanks for the issue report and the crash dump. Normally macOS crash
dumps are very useful and the issue can be easily pinpointed, in this
case that is not so. Can you provide any other context? Does the crash
happen only when you do something particular for example, and is it
repeatable?

I do note from the crash dump that rig control thread was shutting down,
that happens at application close down, when switching configurations,
or when a critical rig control exception occurs. Do any of those
correlate with the crash?

As an aside, which is probably unrelated, I see that some diagnostic
code is enabled that should not be in official release builds. This will
have a minor performance overhead and I will make a new macOS installer
which is correctly configured - I will get Joe, K1JT, to post it on the
project web site shortly and make an announcement that v2.0.1 macOS
users should install the replacement version.
